1st ever cfl stealth cabinet grow

Hey guys recently I had a plant given to me so I decided to make a box for it and have it finish flowering, which didn't turn out too good lol. But from then on he growing bug bit me and I started looking around RIU to see ideas and what to do next.
Here's the first box with the one plant.

after that fiasco I germinated 6 bagseeds to try out my luck

I vegged them out for a while, got a better cabinet and more cfl's and vegged them out for about 4 weeks

they got a little tall so I did some lst to all of them.
I went and bought some more cfl's and this is the set up I currently have:
they're about a week into flowering
Dresser cabinet of about 5.3 cu.ft. It's lined with super bright white formica, so I didn't change anything. The dirt is MG moisture control and scotts all purpose potting soil. I been using Schults 10-15-10 liquid plant food.
1 68w 2700k, 4200 lumens
9 23w 2700k, 1600 lumens each
4 12" F8T5 8w 3000k, unknown lumens
1 14w 2700k, *unknown lumens about 1200 I'd say from what I've seen.
There's a 8" squirrel cage fan for exhaust and a 12" fan for intake and to move the plants around.

So far some of them are showing very little signs of sex, and the have been on 12/12 for about 8 days.
I'm goin to get some 6500k bulbs and UV tubes since I read that full spectrum lights and uv do wonders for flowering. I'm not hoping to get tons of bud but w.e I get would make me happy considering I've spent only like $75 total.*
Let me know what you guys think, I'm super new at this so any help/critique is very welcome!!*
*thanks for looking

Very nice and stealth! Plants lookin healthy! Subscribed and will help out whatever you need. Keep us updated, looking good! Only thing i would say is to never use MG soil and to be real real real carefull with the nutes. But looking real nice mate.:leaf:

Thanks!!! Yeah the MG soil was not the best but it was cheap lol and I mixed it with scotts soil. I have been using the nutes very sparingly, haven't really had the plants yellow or anything. A couple of the leaves on one touched the light and it got slightly burnt but it's doing great now. With some luck Ima have have free bud for 420 :)

Just remember it could take up to 2 weeks to see signs of nute burn. I also have burned alot of leaves with the CFL's lol. As long as its not too bad and it's not the top of the branch getting burned u should be fine .... so dont be afraid to get those CFL's as close as possible. Looking forward to new pics!:eyesmoke:

Hey guys thanks for the kind words and following.
Update: I'm pretty sure 2 of the are males, which sucks but I guess it's expected, here's what they look like lemme know what you guys think. Also should I rip them out now ? Idk
Sorry for the poor pics again they're from my phone

All the other plants I can't tell yet and there's a possible third male. Here's some pics of the rest*

Since i already know some of them are males I also started germinating some seeds from this real bomb stuff I had I hope I get lucky :). However I can't have two cabinets, I'm goin to have them 12/12 from seed, I've seen some some grows like that round here and they looked good so Ima try it out.*
I'll update more as more stuff comes along. Again I'm open to all ideas!

Good to see another stealth cabinet grower like myself :-) subscribed. Look forward to the new cab pics, and sorry to see those males but its par for the course and remember, the males show first.

Good luck.

Hey guys thank you for all the support, I have quick question kind of off topic, is it risky to have photobucket host my pics and direct link them to here ? I'm in the U.S btw.

UPDATE: umm where to start?, i guess bad first.. there turned out to be 3 males so far, the other ones don't have the ball clusters, but I cant yet say...they have just two tiny little things coming up. I don't have any pics of them yet. What do I do with the males ? they're full and green and healthy and a little smelly.... should just kill them and eliminate all chances of pollination ?
At least the rest too look green and healthy, the other seeds have already cracked and stuff and are already in their pots.
Cabinets are all switched and i have tons of room left over idk what to do with it, any ideas ??
I have seen the temps at 67*F for the lowest, and 82*F for the highest, with the lights on. are they too extreme ? I froze some water bottles to put in the cabinet if they got to high, im not really sure what too high is....
iight enuff yapping, look at pics :)

Hey Uber,

The plants look good, nice and bushy. To bad about the males though. What you do with them is your choice. I kept mine for a while but finaly put em to sleep permanetly. If I remember rite, they take about ten days till the pods pop.

As for the temps, 82 is a little high but it will work. You would like to have it around 75 but your good. Your low temp is good to. You are wanting to get about a 10 to 15 degree drop between lights on and off.

Girls are doing good. Computer has been down a couple days so will try and get an update ASAP and some pics to.

Keep em green!!!

:peace:

Is that square pot clear? If i remember correctly clear pots are bad because i think the light kills roots. You might wanna put some tape or sumn up around it. Just a suggestion bro, it looks good so far. All that room looks fucking inspiring, lol. I should have a thread up soon on my stealth cab. Good luck man.

Ok so more bummy news 5 of 6 were males, but the one female has about 10 branches turnig to colas I guess so I'm gonna flower it some more and clone it... Hope it works....
Bigman: thanks for the temp bracket I put 2 of he frozen water bottles in there and now he temps stays at around 77F with the lights on.
Pdeezy: that container is clear but if u look at he pics it's got duct tape all the up to there the dirt is. Thanks for looking out man!
You guys are sharp. I'll get more pics of the one good one tomorrow

Hello everbody! *As may *know, now I'm only left with one girl so here's some pics of it, crapy pics I kno.*

I noticed one of the bottom leafs is turning a weird yellow with some brown spots,
*

I'm gonna go do a search see what I can find. If u have any ideas what it might be and what to do about it please let me know. I'm not real worried as it's only one leaf. The baby plant is still comin but it's not much yet, I'll take a pic when it's more significant.
**Thanks every one !

hey man i just checked out ur grow cuz its linked to mine lol. it looks good. heres a tip tho. build a reflector for all the bulbs n put the cfls side ways to get the most light. to much gets lost from the back and sides without one. in my last grow (first grow with cfls) i learned that lol. built one n creates so much more light. im building a reflector today for my 45 watt cfl n 3 23 watt cfls and lining it with tinfoil for max reflection. lots of people say it creates hot spotes but if its smooth it doesnt. never had one burn on my last two plants. but any ways man ill keep an eye on ur grow. looks good, peace.

i think the yellow of the leaf is just from the maturaty of the plant. have had that happen to my biggest fan leafs on my plants. not really a big deal but i just clip them off cuz they are dead n just waisting food and energy for the plant. lol just my 2 cents. peace

Looking great! I wouldnt worry too much about that lower fan showing some distress, let it go but keep an eye on other leaf for brown spots along the veins and edges, may be trying to tell you to back off slightly on feed, but overall she looks very vigorous and healthy sop its no big deal at all as said above.

Are you checking PH?
