1st dwc grow going bad

Alright got some new pics up they are all right about 8-10" now except 1 that is lacking far behind though her leaves and roots look fine.

for my next batch im going to try a differnt set up. i want to keep about 9 plants going at once. and this dwc method is not working like i planned there just inst enough space so im going to end up changing it again.

i first started with 18g tubs and that was just way too big for 4 plants each... well at the time. that was a lot of water to be changing out of 2 tubs like that. i figured that a 10g would work great for 4 plants each tub... but now they are so bushy the leaves are overlapping. next time i am thinking of buckets for each one.

lol as you go along you learn a lot.

i picked up my new equipment today too :bigjoint:

600w hps

nice,i'd personally recommend bucket DWC if you have the space and conditions for it, 18g tub isn't even enough for 4 plants the size and way I grow them not by far. If it were me i'd use an 18g tub for 1 plant, and get close to a pound off of it. Time will tell. Stay up Oregon.

Lol Nice pics randr, Is that a T5 I see in those last pics? If it is very nice. I see your system is working out, just dont grow them too big, root systems will take over like godzilla. Stay up Oregon, the chronic state.

i think your system is a bubbleponics system
the dwc systems are fully submerge systems
so maybe it was your misters not working right. idk i just finished my first dwc grow and got fucked buy a hermi bag seed plant
hard work down the drain.

whats the difference? i thought you cant submerge them all the time and it has to have air, therefore wouldnt all dwc's be a form of bubbleponics? not being rude, i just dont know.

oh and the five gallon buckets for each are a great idea if you have the room. personally, i dont so a sea of green is in order. i flower them at a foot tall and get around an ounce give or take ea plant. but again not with dwc. if a plant can produce a qp per meter2, then its great, but keep in mind you have to veg for longer, so less plants, same product, longer time. or more plants, short veg, same product.....

idk mine are all ways submerged in water all the way up to the top of the net holes. seem to get to that 1 foot mark fast like that with lots of air bubbles. like about three weeks from clone cut. to flower. i just cut mine clones, peel back two fan leaves put them in a rockwool then stick them right in the system. then i put two 42w cfl right down on them.spray them down with water twice a day 90% of them make it . after 3 weeks i take them and put them in a five gallon bucket and flower.

huh, ill have to keep that in mind, right now the water is just covering the first set of holes in my net pots, im afraid of root rot. but you can really just have the water to the top of the nets? i just see pics of root systems with the res half full and the roots are only partially submerged.

View inside one of my coolers.

Starting off the water level is 2-4 inches below the netpot. as the roots develop i lower the level of the water in the cooler. 12 6 inch stones going per cooler.

first three pics are in the cooler in the last pic.

just in the middle of the res change and waiting for the tubs to fill back up. they are all about 1 foot tall now, they are running out of space fast so this will be the last res change in veg next week im going to bloom. they are drinking quite a bit now, do i replace the water with nute water or do i just put ph water back in.

i am using 3 ballasts that hold 2 t5 lights a piece for grow, thats a total of 6 lights for about 30k lumens. next week they will get the 600w hps. im sure they will be happy.

oh and heres a shot of those roots. definatly going to buckets next grow 1 per bucket. i would have for bloom but they have already grown together.

I just started, and i put the nutes at 100%! they looked great this morning but from I have read in this thread, I need to drop the nutes to 1/4 % ASAP. Right?

12 stones....thats my variable. ive got 4. it would make sense that youd want the bubbles them selves to hit the roots, but not soaking in it. so looks like im buying another pump and some more stones.

this is a bubbleponics system witch means water is being pumped in my system it only is bubbles so no water running through hitting the upper roots.
here is my system
