Hey all, just started my frist closet grow using CFL lights. i grew 2 plants a few months back using a 600w MH, and now im just doing this for the satisfaction of homegrown ganja 
, and to reduce the energy consumption. its been a week since i germinated and planted the seeds. i ended up planting 2 seeds of some mids, nothing spectacular, and then 1 seed of The Purps. which if you didnt know, is short for the perpetrators, and isnt really a purple bud. fun fact for the day. anyways the three are about 2-3 inches tall now. however the purps although it is above the soil is still having a little trouble. the first leaves are still kinda caught in the seed . hard to explain, pictures will follow. i am using 2 X 26 watt CFL with a total output of 3500 lumens. i am adding more, however im just using these for the seedling veg. i have a 25 watt cool white with a nice hood ill be using on the side when the plants have grown up a little. i plan on adding 2-4 more 46 watt CFLs. should have clsoe to 10k lumes then. but for the vegging; i am running them on 24/0 right now and was wondering how long until i should switch them to 18/6. this is the first time ive done the 24 cycle on the veg stage. my soil mix is about 60% organic soil mix, 30% perlite and 10% peat moss. i also wanted a little help on fertilizer. does anyone have any recommendations for what type of fertilizer to add, and how long until the seedlings can start handling nutes? i am germinating 4 more seeds of mids, which should sprout up in the next 2-3 days just to offset the probability of males. pics soon to follow, as well as weekly updates. any comments or advice is much appreciated!
