1st CFL closet grow , mixed strains, Oh and HI

I wasn't doubting your statement, just found it funny. I went and smelled mine after reading that but mine does not smell like wet dog.............yet, haha. Mine is vegging though as it's going to serve as a mother plant. She's almost ready to start taking cuttings from so I'll use her for the next round of clones. Then I should have some cool pics to show since they bush out so much and there will be 4-6 of them all buched together in my hydro tray.

Dez, you got Tuborg in Cali?? I always thought it was only in Europe....good stuff though especially the red!

Quite interesting to see your grow as i plan on doing my first indoor grow with CFL's shortly. What do you have in terms of ventilation and do you keep an oscillating fan on them? Sorry if you mentioned it earlier, i didnt see.

Hi Des,

Luckily the old ww2 air raid shelter that i use to grow in is kitted out with ventilation ducts so i dont need a fan, to be honest though i barely use them. I know its recomended that we use fans and move air around our little babies but i seem to get away without doing so.( i'll probably get told of by the ol' timers now,lol)
My temps are pretty constant as well so im sure this helps, due to it being an air raid shelter and triple brick in depth its pretty much super insulated against whatever weather is going on outside.

did you spy the tuborg reflector i made? lol , im gonna call one of my plants Tuborg now, i dont know if you noticed what it says on a tin of Tuborg :- "excellent quality green", how accurate can it get,lol
i aint seen tuborg in a red can though fella?

haha ya good idea making a reflector out of a can....but ya we got tuborg green and red here, i prefer red cause it doesnt taste like water. but i gotta admit that slogan is pretty damn accurate lol

I'm due an update but ill wait till the weekend for some photos,

The ww has had a microscopic inspection today and all trichs are showing as cloudy but i'm after the couch lock on this one so i'm going to keep on growing.

The pipi just keeps on gaining size and pistols but not a lot of orange hairs as yet so i'm not even giving it a close inspection yet.

The N/L is catching up fast, plenty of bud sites and white pistols developing at a rate of knots and my 12/12 from seed experiment using sweet dreams is coming out of preflower and starting to creat buds, oh yeah!, one of them did turn out to be a hermie so ive seperated it and just kept on growing,lol, i'll find a use for it

Major accident that ended well with the church, one of my sweet dreams fell on it (long story) and snapped exactly in half between the 3rd and 4th nodes, epic fail and disaster i thought but then i prepared the end of the snapped piece and dipped in rooting compound and repotted, even though this was only 3 days ago she seems to have survived ok, so now it looks like i have 2 x church instead of one,lol ( just keep looking for the silver lining thats what i say,lol)

Hi Everyone,

There's been a few re vamps in the closet itself now, the old wooden walls have now been mylar'd up and a few more lights added, welcome to "Alpha Moonbase 51" lol

The widow is very close but still time yet, trichs are 85%cloudy with the odd clear one and the ode amber one, but still i tried a sneaky bud off her and all is looking good!

Pipi still needs a few more weeks but is increasing in size just nicely.

The N/L is still catching up but with a very speedy attitude,lol

Im also seeing plenty of new pistols coming from the 12/12 from seed sweet dreams now , so another 8 weeks for those little babies now!

Oh dear, nearly forgot about the Church, well it looks like the top part that i tried to re root isnt looking too clever, its still hangin in there but looks very droopy, it is only 4-5 days since it happened so ill give it a little longer, on a lighter note the bottom section has come to life very nicely and is starting to make up for lost greenery : quite happily mrgreen:

Hi All,

Well its been a fruitfull week, the widow has been cropped, yumm yummm. After close inspection there were a large percentage of amber trichs coming so i guess im gonna be happy,lol += the yield is only small but to be expected on the type of lights she was under in the early days, no problem and a learning curve taken

The Pipi is in need of a couple of weeks more before i even think about the closing performance, but is still looking healthy and expanding lovely, pipi had a better start as far as lights were concerned as i upgraded very early on in her cycle and again towards the end so will be a slightly higher yield than the widow

Northern lights looks like shes had a minor steroid injection compared to the others but she came in after the secon light upgrade and it can be quite plainly noticed too, her buds are almost the size of Pipi's but she is 4-6 weeks behind, Kewler than a Kewl thing in Kewl Land,lol

The Sweet Dreams are doing rather well too, they are coming along nicely and although have been an experiment with 12/12 light cycle from seed, they are showing signs of a rather promising future
