Thanks CT14. Na this puppy was ripe the trichs were about 50% amber this morning, it was her time. The other plant I agree with you she is not even close to ready. She appears to be the sativa dominant one. The other was more indica. There were differences between both plants. Thats what you get when you mix up your bag seeds.

Now I got some questions to ask of the bubbleheads and anyone else who has input:

I moved the hangings to the old grow cabinet for darkness and good air movement.
What should the temp and Hum be for drying?
I know bigger buds are about a week and smaller 2-3 days.
Is Drying them in the dark better then drying them with available light in the room?
Is there anything to know when there ready for the jars?

What should the temp and Hum be for drying? Normal Room temps, low humidity, have a fan keeping a breeze going
I know bigger buds are about a week and smaller 2-3 days. Right
Is Drying them in the dark better then drying them with available light in the room? Dry them in the dark, yes.
Is there anything to know when there ready for the jars?
Save a piece of the harvested stem or the stalk that stayed int he tank, in case you need to re-moisten a jar.

What up paranoid. Nice semi harvest you got there. It's sad seeing the little stump stickig out of it's rez like that... but she did good, lived a good life. It's nice seeing branches hanging... you be smoking soon. Really nice looking bud too. I want some, haha.

Is that a mini lighter in the pic? That is a nice bud there.

And what is the tray with foil... did you trim on that... you making hash oil or something? It's a little late, but I hope you didn't throw anything away. It can all go to the cause making hash or oil or butter.

**warning the following is opinion and is coming from someone who has only harvested twice... If you want a likely more accurate answer on these topics please see the post above. Roseman know's what the hell he's talking about.**

For drying 50% hum would be good if you had it. The bud would dry slower than if the hum is lower (duh) but I guess the slower you dry the better (within reason). It should be cool. Same idea with not drying out too fast. Maybe 65-75?

You don't want light on your bud at all from now on. Light breaks down the chemicals that get us high.

Air movement is good, but don't blow right on the buds.

Jar them when the stems become not bendy. Some people say when they snap. Make sure you aren't jarring 'squishy' buds. They should be pretty dry like the herb you buy.

And man does curing make a difference. Even after 24 hours in a jar the bud tastes so much better.

Great work bro. :blsmoke: bongsmilie :bigjoint:

man paranoid, i disappear for two weeks, come back... and damn i'm blown away. those are some really beautiful pictures you've posted, both before and during harvest. you done good... you done reaaaal good. congrats.

i second everything jigs said about drying. basically, lower temp and higher humidity slows down drying... and if you have dense buds, be careful for mold if it dries very slowly. moving air, like jigfresh mentioned, will help prevent mold. meanwhile, too high of temp or really low humidity will speed up drying... which people say affects the quality or taste of the bud.

for my drying... i kept my A/C on around 75 degrees which also kept my humidity under 50%... and it took about 1 1/2 weeks to dry.

nice work paranoid.
