1st AutoGrow Mephisto 25 Days in. Advice/wisdom/opinions?

Hey guys. Doing my first autoflower grow. It is mephisto genetics and approx 24-25 days in. Pre-flowers and pistils appeared on Day 22. I want more than one main cola so tried my hand at LST, which for now is just holding the top of the stems down on both which was really hard for such a shrub short plant with tight nodes.

It's max heights are 40-50 cm by harvest. Mine is sitting around 13 CM before I LST'd them. Can anyone tell me how I'm going? I'm not even sure if I LST'd the stem correct. Also from around day 16-17 I noticed quite explosive growth for about a week and now she has sort of slowed. Can I be expecting her to grow a bit bigger/taller/wider between Week 4 (now) till about week 6 when pre-flowering seems to be over and actual flowering has begun.

Thanks a lot for any input. some pics attached. sorry for bad angles.

A1C7E09D-8244-4D28-837B-B25B4270AC17.jpeg 2nd girl LST :( Not as well as the other [FIXED] She is now like the other one basically. Like in 3rd picture.

TBH the LST was stressing me out because the stem so short and nodes so tight I felt like I was doing HST and then half a leaf ripped off lol. I was concerned I LST'd too early for this strain because I wanted her to branch up a bit more to bend stem better.

Edit: Both plants have their tops/main head pulled to the side and held down which has exposed 5 smaller heads. Some of which I pulled over so that they're all on the adjacent side to hopefully eliminate apical dominance and and they all become dominant main heads once they catch up. Not sure if more heads are to come but I assume they may, lots and lots of pistils popping up all over.

Small question; Is it ok for me to have their main heads tied/bent down for an extended time while the smaller heads catch up or should I do it for 2-3 days, undo them and give them a break for a few days and then LST again.

Please anyone weigh in, rookie, expert. Any reply is valuable to me... Thanks.

Looks okay so far. Are you feeding them? They look a little heavy on nutrients. Other than that, watch them grow and enjoy the harvest. Good luck!

Hey xtsho, thanks for the reply.

I have only fed them once and that was 2 weeks ago but, the soil is organic slow release. I definitely didn't want slow release so I could have more quality control but it does make things a bit easier :-D Which nutrients do you think they look heavy on? They do seem a little dark on N.

Thanks a lot man.

Hey grilledcheese!

Man thanks a lot for the pictures and input, really appreciate it. :D Now I have a rough idea of whats to come. Your girl turned out beautiful and very bushy, sort of what I expect with these little dwarfians. I wasn't sure what was gonna happen so that's good she'll continue to bush out more. I'm a complete noob man so I'm running Blue cush only. I'm learning a lot and I don't expect a massive or even a medium yield. Just a successful grow and aiming for 1oz both combined (I know LOL) before it was 1 oz each but didn't want to get ahead of myself.

Your set up is neat I like it! I'll post more pics as time goes on. If you don't mind could I ask you a few questions?

- What was your light cycle like? (I'm running them basically 18/6)
- What lighting did you use? (I'm doing CFL to dip my toes in first 250w)
- What yield did you pull at the end?

Thanks again man.

This was my first auto aswell! Have quite a few photoperiods under my belt tho. If i could turn back time id have went into a bigger pot. These autoflowers are way more sensitive to nutes and prone to rootbounding... This little setup is my veg box normally, its 120w of dollar store led bulbs on full blast. Its a keg fridge lol only a 20x20x24 inside but sure does the trick.
Ive read and agree that 24hrs for autos can be very bemeficial although i went with 18/6 for power consumption reasons. And i continue to flower on 18/6 without issues other than the sensitivity to feed compared to my other plants.... With the same lights in a slightly larger area and a photoperiod dinafem blue cheese i pulled just under a quarter pound like... 100-110 grams at 60% humidity. This year ill be lucky to get an ounce. Lol. Take that with a grain of salt. As this is not a mephisto, they tend to be the biggest autos ive ever seen

I see! Yeah I can see the benefits of autoflowers but I'd rather put as much effort into a photoperiod now. Though auto is good place to start I guess and good for space etc.

I was gonna go 7 litre/2 gal pots but then I ended up going 11 litre/3 gal pots. It's good that you said that but I was worried that I got a pot a bit too big that she wouldn't grow into within the time frame. What size pot you use bro?

Yeah I wish I had more control over my nutes. Could only get my hands on organic slow release, it's good soil just annoying lol. Man that's a solid setup! it definitely works and just goes to show what you can do. Holy crap man that's friggin awesome effort. Damn! what a beast! all those heads. Looks like you lollipopped her and removed fan leaves?

You think defoliation is ok for autos, because right now I'd love to pull some fan leaves to get more light to some heads lol. Almost week 5 so pretty early and they'd be helping the plant more if i kept them I assume.

I'd like your posts man but I'm not a verified member. If the option ever pops up I'll make sure to.

Youll get verified soon, i think its in about 2 gal pot. I think youd be fine to pull a couple leaves if you think you cant lst it out of the way, i give all my plants haircuts at somepoint lol.

I have 7 Early Miss auto flower going now. Under 24 hour 20180923_123144_resized.jpg 900 watts, five of them are in three gal fabric containers. Two others are in five gallon pails under 2 K, because I had them ready. I will compare size and condition next week when I re arrange the tent. Feeding Ganja Brand nutrients, head office is only 15 minutes from here. They stand 2 foot tall and I expect a Bloom stretch to 3 feet, the anticipated final. I simply topped them as I could while in vegetative stage. They are just going into Bloom treatment. My picture is of them at the end of the vegetative stage. Both lighting 18-6 and nutrients have changed to Bloom. I was advised to grow the auto flower because the season is ending, and these grow well in cooler temperatures. Here they are now.
