1st Attempt Cloning Probs

I recently made my first attempt at cloning and I thought everything went OK but there now appears to be some problems.

The propagator is a typical DIY bubble cloner: rubbermaid type container approximatly 18" x 24" x 8', totally blacked out w black duct tape, 1" neoprene collars, 60 Gallon tank rated air pump, and 2x 12" air stones, and excellent bubble coverage.

I've read the clone faqs: clones have 3 nodes, bottom nodes stripped of leaves/stems, main stem cut at 45' at 1/4" below 3rd stripped set of nodes, tips dipped in rootech.

Clones have been in propagator for approximatly 10 days. They are misted 2x daily with a weak solution of Thrive alive green, cloner has a weak solution of tap water and thrive alive red, pH has been un-modified. Lights are 2 24" flouro's (t8 i think) on 24/7 and on top of a humidity dome.

Res temps are 70-74, and the clones have not wilted at all at any point. From the top they look quite healthy and are even showing signs of very very minor growth at the nodes. The problem is they aren't showing ANY roots. And on some of the clones it appears that I striped the 3rd node set but I didn't get the little new growth nubs and now instead of growing roots at the striped nodes they are trying to grow new branches there.

So what exectly are the optimal conditions for clones? Water pH, Temps, Light levels, Nutes, humidity? I've cloned other plants in this setup so I know I'ts not too messed up.

Also, should I use a razor n cut the new shoots that are trying to grow at the 3rd node set above water level in the bubble chamber? Or will those turn into roots? Or will they just die off and roots form elsewhere? Any help would be much appreciated!

sounds like your doing ok id just give them a little more time, a little tip for you is to cut the 2nd set of leaves in half, not the top set but down a set, like cutting off your finger tips, this lets the clone sweat, some strains can be hard to clone but going by what you say they should make it, each time you need to remove the lid always do it for a short a time as poss and mist lid on return, they just like humid conditions, make sure you can open a vent now and again in your diy dome, they will need air exchange.
