Lots of things are possible, that doesn't mean that you should do them! The whole concept of SCROG is to present a flat, even, canopy to the lights most advantageous position.
Yeah, I've seen these before. They're called VScrOG, or vertical screen of green, and the screen usually surrounds a bare bulb. In every grow I've seen they have proven themselves to be MUCH more efficient then horizontal scrogs.
