definately need more light asap, and the cups there in are bad if the roots can show from the sides because from what i hear light damages the fragile little hairs on the roots that are probably pretty important

wow 17 days huh. yes there deffinetly growing slow...could be a few things..1st off, the lights for sure. Also if i remember correctly, violets need a very acidic soil. Marijuana onthe other hand isnt fond of high acid levels in the soil. Violets also require alot of the "P" nutrient. For seedlings, "N" is the dominent nute required. Y a may want to check into that. My palnts are 17 days today, my pics posted in the gallery are from 8-14 days. You can just compare the difference, speaks for its self. Im using EXPERT GARDNER: PERFECT MIX soil with a 2/3rd miricle grow solution once weekly and watered twice weekly. Due to your small cuts u will need to water more often as your containers dont hold much soil. Always better to underwater then overwater. Underwatering in most cases can be corrected in a matter of mins..Overwatering, plants can take days even weeks to recover depending on the severity. Also do you have drainholes in those containers???? the run off needs a place to drain otherwise the roots will basically drown, they wont be able to breathe and will rott..if that happens your plants a gonner, best of luck

My plants were being grown under 1 15w = 60w CFL until yesterday. Now they are being grown under 4 23w = 100w CFL's, with a small fan to create better airflow and strengthen the stem. My plants have tall fragile stems with its main set of leaves, a second set of leaves that are still growing in, and now a 3rd set that is just starting to form in. I will tell you how the light update goes, and if I see any changes. There around 8 days now? Not doing great, but doing fine.

i would go for at least 2 26 watt cfl's to start off with.....I ended up using 8 cfl's all through veg for 5 plants and got my plants up to 10-15 in going into flowering
