I don't screw with bulbs you have to change them every 2 grows. That alone is reason enough to go led. Less consumables overall lower operating costs.yes I would of the scorpions or any true 600-650 watt light.
My argument for that is this.
how long does LED panel last? 10 years?
For me to buy a decent LED in the U.K. for my space. Circa £500
I use a 400w now and use 2 bulbs a year. £15 each. £30 a year.
10 years of bulbs is £300.
no brainer Imo
Now if you’re dealing with high temps 80% of the year then LED is the way to go.
For me with my setup I would have to add additional heat for the LED’s to grow effectively costing me more in running costs than utilising HPS.
not bashing or hating on LED but it’s like electric cars.
they pollute more than gas cars during the manufacturing and the batteries than the gas cars make lol.
