heres the flower room the branches are going crazy and filling up the screen pronto

IMAG1355.jpgIMAG1356 (1).jpg

the roots are looking like spaghetti strings stretching out all the way to the edges of the container

IMAG1358.jpg

just made my hempy screen last night out of hanger wire and 1" chicken wire. it had a long wire wrapping the roll and i used that to wrap around the hangers to connect them together, then i just wrapped the chicken wire around it with pliers.

IMAG1360.jpgIMAG1363.jpgIMAG1365.jpg

you can see in the in the last pic how the main stem is bent over 90 degrees.

IMAG1370.jpgIMAG1368.jpg

Mom is doing great as well, her roots are starting to spread out a bit too. most of the the branches are almost laying flat which is great cuz that means more side branches. soon as my hempy grow is done ill clone her and get them ready to flower while my big harvest is finishing.

realized i have a slight problem with light leaks into the hempy bloom room, what i will have to do is put some deflectors over the other side of the tubes to block the light i know it wont block all of it, but its got way too much light leaking in for the flowering cycle, i like it to be completely pitch black , but id like to get it down similar to moonlight instead two bright tubes shining all night.

update: made some covers to block the light from the tubes
IMAG1383.jpgIMAG1389.jpg

IMAG1381.jpgIMAG1385.jpg

you can tell the difference from the pics i should have less of a problem flowering now. could have sprayed the inside of the tubes black and that would stop the rest of it but id have to clear out fumes and stuff that will be a project for a another time.

im also going to time the next room so where it goes off for 6 hours during the dark cycle so the glow will only be for 6 hrs.

the flower room is almost ready to go after only two weeks this thing has taken off like never before.the main stem is thick and strong. the screen is almost all the way full already, what ill do next is top each main branch at the edge of the screen then switch to flower..

IMAG1399.jpgIMAG1403.jpg

the hempy pot is doing well too the stems are curving and wrapping around nicely

IMAG1400.jpg

mom is getting bushy, ready to be cloned way too soon though. ill have to trim her back soon and prep it more before shes ready for that.

i changed the solution in the flower and moms container. as always, i was amazed at the length

IMAG1441.jpg

moms roots were about 2 ft long, nice strong white roots

floroot12345.jpg

the two flowering plants roots were so long i couldnt get it all in the picture but they are almost 3 ft long

IMAG1442.jpg

gave mom another haircut and a new 8 inch air stone, shes lovin right about now..

IMAG1443.jpg

busted out my adjustable double pumper for the bloom room and put a second 8 Inch airstone in the mix, and cranked it up to Hi. gave em a stiff cocktail of dynagro bloom solution, gh koolbloom, and bcuzz root. they should be blasting off soon as i get my hps back in there.

i was very scared to even attempt hydro too, and i went through many trials and fails to get it right and learn what it takes. i believe i have almost perfected my technique after 22 years and my perpetual harvest is on its way through the first cycle. as far as money it can be done just as cheap. my dyna gro nutes only cost $17.95 each.. and the lava rocks, about 10 bucks..net pots couple bucks..some pvc and a container is all it is really simple and effective..

Wow! I have about 7, lol, and mostly outdoors, so I feel humbled. I do mess around with cloning, so I shouldn't say im eaxactly noobish, I have cloned with the hempy style and I have 2 cloners one a bubble and one a sprayer, so I at least get the concept.

My biggest problem is that I make my own fertilizers and such. So, I would need some equipmunk to really dial in a new fert regime. I stopped buying commerical ferts a few years ago and I guess this is the main reason for my reluctance, just not a lot of user info for DIY hydro ferts.

Definitely will be keeping tabs!

Good growing :peace:

i tried switching to an organic formula but with the dwc it made a big frothy bubbly mess so i stuck to the chemical mix but recently switched to dyna-gro products and i love it.

don't you think that's kinda close?
i was worried that it wasnt close enough lol, this light stays super cool, its got a fan at each end of the tubes and a fan blowing directly under it across the tops of the plants. ive had the plants touching the glass and it still doesnt burn them. i notice more yellowing in the spot right underneath the light at almost harvest time but other than that it does the trick.

heres a pic of the yellowing im talking about, i think a certain amount of the yellowing is transportation of the nutrients from the leaves to the buds, maybe it only transported from the main portion of the light, idk maybe it got hotter..all the yellow went away when i harvested and trimmed though so it was all good.

checked the temp under the hps at the screen , its doing ok, but looks like the air is a little dry so i put the humidifier on to try to get some moisture in the air.
