150w HPS Soil (Straberry Cough/Silver Haze/My own cross/Bagseed) 12/12 from seed

I had these under CFLs for a few days and just got this HPS light last night so, I'm expecting these plants to explode pretty soon... Here is what the setup looks like, pretty simple and not flashy. Picked up the 150w floralux for $66 at HTG..

I have the HPS 5" or so away from the plants with no heat issues, room temp stays around 70ish.

Using 32Oz cups all the way through, 12/12 from seed. I'm running some heavy sativa strains plus 2 bagseeds that I know are sativas so I don't want any 5 foot plants.

The strawberry cough and silver haze are feminized seeds, hoping to get 2/4 female on my cross and 1/2 female from the bagseed. Been running 12 hours of light and low temps, so I'm hoping for 50%+ fems.

I'll post another update when these have grown a bit.

I feel like these are growing really slow compared to my hydro grows.. Its been like 2 weeks and they look like they are a week old in my hydro system under CFLs.

But anyways heres an update, they just started showing first set of 3 pointers and next set is coming in.

Pleased to see how my cross is doing though, although it doesn't look like its got very sativa dominant fan leaves, should be interesting.

Here is how the Strawberry Cough is doing

Leaving these alone for 2-3 days over Christmas, so they will probably stretch out since I'm going to move the light up a bit.

Quick and short update, plants are doing good, stems starting to stretch out above cotyledons, silver haze is right in front of the fan so its growing kind of funky because its pretty much getting thrashed whenever the lights are on which I'm totally fine with because I know its going to be a huge beast anyways.

Should be showing sex in a week or so.

Hey, i am also growing with a 150w hps, only with a remote ballast. your plants are lookin pretty good, keep it up. I am growing bagseed and 2 lowryderXak47, from what i was told.

Thanks guys, this grow got off to a pretty slow start due to me foolishly overwatering in combination with only 12 hours of light, hoping it will start picking up from here on out.

Mini update, almost all of the plants are starting to grow secondary nodes at every node and the stems are really starting to beef up.

Here is a pic of all the plants this afternoon, they are growing at a reasonable rate now, but not really as fast as I would like to see, but that's probably because this is all I'm going to get from 150W with 12 hour days.

Hit them with full strength nutrients yesterday, Might actually have to move the light up soon, we'll see.

Strawberry cough showed female preflowers today, and one of my bagseeds has some dark colored leaf tips coming in just like the nug I plucked them from.. I'm pumped, even if its a male, I'm going to be taking some pollen from it, or at least end up with some black leafed bud.

Okay so heres a little update on the plants, not much going on.. wondering why the strawberry cough has shown sex and none of the other plants have yet.

I have been thinking about going to 18/6 once I sex all my plants but IDK how deep into flower the strawberry cough is going to be by then... Guess we'll just have to see.

Well, the ugly duckling bagseed that had some dark colored leaves coming in is a confirmed male, can't decide what I'm going to do with it, took it out of my garden for now, need to set up another spot for it. But, the biggest, best looking pheno of my cross is a confirmed female!

Alright so I just bought 5 10" pots and some new soil, transplanted strawberry cough, silver haze and TSS x indica #4 into bigger pots with new soil. When I checked the cups, two of them really needed a transplant, I probably fucked up and didn't break up the rootball enough but oh well, they are going on 18/6 for a few weeks under the hps since I got bigger pots now. All the other plants are chilling under 84W of CFL in a cabinet on 12/12, waiting for them to show sex before I transplant. Really wish they had more 8" pots but there was only one... These 10" ones are too big for me to do more than like 4 plants, but oh well, I might give one to a buddy or something. I'm definitely going to need to use my 300W equiv CFLs for this now.

Soil is not my thing and I probably made a bunch of mistakes along the way, which is why this grow isn't going as well as I had hoped.

Its looking like shit compared to my hydro grows in the same time frame, but I didn't want to fuck with 6 gallons of water every week.

I'm going to just start a new thread after I sex all of the plants and throw them into flower, I have 2 confirmed males and 2 confirmed females 2 fem seeds (given female) and 2 plants still pre-puberty, expecting 1 male 1 female.

I ended up with 4/6 females on the non feminized seeds.

I have 2x TSS x Indica in 10" pots, then the silver haze and strawberry cough in 10" pots also.

The last TSS X Indica is still in 32oz cup, prob just going to leave it and see how much I get so I can compare to bigger pots.

The bagseed female is really lanky, but it has some black-tipped leaves coming in, so it should be interesting to see how this turns out.

All plants are under 18/6 and I am planning putting them back in 12/12 on the 17th of this month so they have about 1 week of time to recover from my shitty transplant job.
