150w Cfl, Purple d & Sour d, Flowering from Aug 29, Yellow Leaves Normal?

That yellowing is too early. Only 4 and a half weeks into flowering now right? Yeah, that's a little bit too early I believe. However, trying to correct it it at this point might not be the wisest of choices. I would be thinking about starting a two week flush within the next week or two anyways. Take everything I say with a grain of salt though. That is all just coming from what research I've done here.

Hey, thanks Bonnierat, appreciate the reply. They're 5 weeks old, and one of them (purple d) is supposed to have a 7-8 week flowering period, so harvest around Oct 18-24. Starting to flush her is a good idea.

Sour d will take another 2 weeks after that, so I'll see if adding some magnesium might help...

Would it make any sense to transplant to bigger pots at this point (from 1-gallon to 5-gallon)? I'm guessing not...

Nah. Too much stress is possible with a transplant. Mine didn't get stressed too much, but still, I wouldn't want to do it midflower unless it was like a crisis. I mean, if your roots are getting waterlogged and algae is growing, then sure. But if not I'd just finish it out. The idea here is that you already have some plants that are flowering. It's your first grow. You're wanting to make it to harvest but learn along the way so that your second grow can just be freaking awesome. I think this is going to be a good exercise in patience for you. I would flush the purple, perhaps think about harvesting slightly early if it starts suffering really bad (which I doubt will need to happen). And as for the sour...yeah. Correcting that deficiency would be safe now I would think. Would still give you another week afterwards to monitor the plant before you flush. Just be careful. Don't overdo your fix or you'll hurt her worse.

thanks for the response, boonierat. good advice on all counts. i'll start flushing purple in a few days and see how sour does on her own before adding anything. i'm not in it for a huge yield my first grow. just don't want to cause any bad damage that could affect the buds. i guess a lot of these problems go back to the plant redirecting most of its energy to the buds...

speaking of buds, i just took some incredible closeup pictures of the sour diesel buds. i'll post them in a minute.

I've read lots of posts on the subject of droopy leaves, but still can't figure out what's wrong in my case.

Here's Purple Diesel, 5 weeks into flowering (2-3 weeks before harvest). I noticed most of the leaves were droopy today:

even the leaves close to the buds are pointing almost vertically downward:

Bascially, I can't tell if the droopiness is due to overwatering or underwatering... or something else entirely (rootbound or lack of fresh air/ventilation?).

I last watered her 2 days ago, about 1/4 gallon of ph'ed, low-nute water into her 1-gallon pot with holes (and very good drainage).

I realize harvest time is pretty close on this one, but I'd still like to remedy the situation if possible... please help! Comments MUCH appreciated.

in case anyone was wondering...

a nice watering of 1/2 liter this morning with luke-warm ph-ed no-nute water made purple perk up, almost back to normal, in under an hour. i may need to invest in a moisture meter.

here's a fresh picture for comparison:

what a relief!!

how much do you think she's got left? i can't find consistent info about purple diesels... not even on the sativa/indica classification.

her trichs still look clear (with 60x lens), but i'm guessing/hoping she's almost there, like roughly 1-2 weeks left... any thoughts?

hell yeah man... they look friggin phenomanol... i KNOW your stoked as shit to harvest your first bit of bud... at least you'll get more than a cigarillos worth out of it... lol... i was referring to my first... as well as you grew this, i cant wait to see what your gonna do next... but like jay z says... "on to the next one"... lol... whats awesome is the fact it seems as if you were in control of your plant and not the other way around... alot of people lose control of their plants to early, get frustrated, and or kill or give it away due to lack of knowledge... to me the first rule of growing was that... be in control... very very nice...

hey micro, thanks for the props man. means a lot coming from you!! it's been quite a learning experience. and i have all the lights and fans and soil and everything to do it again with no startup cost next time. it's gonna be a matter of making it stealthier next time, because this time around i had to use constant odor masking, which makes the room have too much of a fragrance all the time (better than the skunkiness for my gf, but not great overall). so i'm going to have to invest in or construct a real grow box with exhaust/carbon filter deal. that's the biggest thing.

and yeah, i'm friggin stoked to have my own bud as an avatar, and even more stoked that i'll get to smoke the bitch soon... all happening so fast.

anyway, SACReDHeRB over at " https://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/328642-want-know-if-your-plants-390.html#post4773517 " says they look done (ready to chop), but also says i could wait until it's 8 weeks (so, 10 more days). honestly i can't tell. i think the purple diesel is almost there...

any thoughts on done-ness? (question goes to anyone reading) thanks + rep to any replies...

purp d looks good... i would wait the full 8 weeks on the sour d... still got a few white hairs and trichs look a lil cloudy... but i dont have a microscope to personally check it... it'll just become more ripe... i dont think your close to the point of the thc degrading on that one yet... im working on adding a carbon scrubber on my pc box now... its not stinky yet, but def has an odor... its gonna be a skunky 8 weeks or so flowering for sure...

hey thanks mirco. so this morning i will chop (or at least start to chop) purple d. she's at 7 weeks and looking ripe. i'll post the newest pics in a minute. sour d, i'll keep flushing for the next week and see what happens.

for odor control, i can't say i did a great job with mine, but basically with one of those ona-gel jars inside the closet and a self-spraying lysol outside the closet, i was able to pretty much keep the skunky smell entirely in the closet, and a fragrant (but sometimes too fragrant) smell in the rest of the room. so if i were you, i'd consider putting one of those ona-gel jars in your pc box, at least that way if there's a smell leak, it'll smell like fresh laundry or whatever...
