150 watt hps

i currently use a 150 for three plants. one is a scrog that was vegged for well over a month and the other 2 are basically 12/12 from seed. I think 2 plants would be about perfect "less veg time but still great light coverage" i would reccommend a SCROG to maximize your usable light footprint

Okay, correct me if I'm wrong but that's chopping the plants so they stay short and bush out more...?? as in "sea" of green?

no. screen of green is when you position a screen above the plant and have the plant grow up to it. As the plant tries to grow through the screen you tuck the plants arms back under the screen and to the side. this will make the plant grow horizontal wrather than verticle.

compare it to this

"what gets more sunlight? a pole or a wall?

your plant wants to grow like a pole but now the "SCROG" makes it grow like a wall

I use 2-150 watt HPS lights. I think they work great & they were cheap. I will upgrade to a 400 when I move to the new house. BUt the 150's been working for me now for a couple years.

NOte the STELLAR growth from pic 3-4. That was 9 days :) Up till then I had just used the 8 t-12 floro tubes you see on the ceiling of the cabinet. I was VERY impressed with what I saw switching to the HPS even at only 150 each. Im sure I will be more impressed with a 400 or even a 600.

p.s. this was Nirvana fem bubbalicious. EXCELLENT smoke. Very stinky & awesome high. I am certainly going to grow this one again & keep it as a main stay of my collection :)
