yes you will see a huge difference if you intend to keep your cfls for side lighting as well.
the 150 will push more lumens then your 300 watts of cfl and also instead of having only a few inches of canopy penetration you should get 10 inches or so even with a small 150.
i actually grew 2 nice 4 ft plants with a 150 and about 200 watts of cfl with decent results. biggest difference you will see is that your buds will be much denser then before which of course will in turn up your final yield.

More than likely all things considered. Just try to keep an even canopy, and control the heat. It's also much more convenient with a single hood then positioning all kinds of CFL's around the plant. That being said, how many plants do you plan on flowering? A single 150 hps is probably good for one decent sized plant, two smaller plants... When i first started I just used 2 x 150 HPS (DIY remotely ballasted security lights) under a single hood and could flower 4 3 gallon plants in a 2'x2' area with good success.

Yeah 150w hps lights are awesome, especially with the addition of CFLs. I have an auto cheese going under 1x 150w and ill get at least an oz off it. I have room for another 1 or 2 in my cab but only had one seed as a freebie so i think if i maxed out my space id have a 3-4 zips total off of about 10-15 bucks a month.
