I think 10's oughta be plenty. I'm gona see how my NL x Big Bud will do in the ground with amended soil.. I've never grown auto's before.. If they do alright this summer I'm going to grow them every year.

I do too but haven't had the pleasure of smoking any in quite a while. I also got my NL x Big Bud as freebies with an order through Herbie's a while back. I'm hoping they turn out as good as the pics I've seen floating around.

10 gallons should definitely be a good amount, i'm doing my autos in 5 gallon smart pots which i was worried would be too small but they supposedly dont get root bound.

Ya that seems like a huge waste of medium for autos, i feel like 3 gallons is probably more than sufficient. I use 15s and 20s for late season plants outdoor amd they still end up 5 to 7 feet tall.

And i actually grew out an nl x big bud i think from nirvana outside a couple seasons ago and it ended up like 11 feet in a 30 gallon pot, had to tie the top down because it outgrew the garage roof lol. Pulled over 2 ps but lost about a half p to pm and other outdoor problems. Nugs were fire but came out really cheesy looking and definitely a lot of sativa on there.

That's a lot of soil. A lot of people grow auto's in 3gal pots. Smart/felt pots are even better.
10 should be more than enough to get several ounces off of each plant easily if you have your conditions correct.
Iv done 3 gallons it's not enough if your growing some nice big outdoor ones.

You must not have big plants then 15s were tiny for my full season plants last year you need some 100s bro c'mon step your game up.

It was prob stressing like a motherfucker too cause it was root bound your buds probley woulda been a lot nicer/ bigger in a 100 or 200

If you got the room then go big.

It turned out.pretty fire and yielded a couple ps thrown out late in the season, not a terrible plant anyway.

three gallons on autos, or photoperiod plants??
i tend to agree with everyone else, 10 g's is way too big for an auto since autos don't have a true veg period, they'll simply start to flower after about 30 days or so from seed, so there's no way they'll really benefit from a much larger container size since you can't veg them any longer than what they do naturally..

Then why the hell aren't you rocking bigger pots if your pulling huge yields
You would think you would have some cash to drop back into soil.
