Hello RIU! I have decided to start a cfl grow in a homemade box that is 2ft x 2ft x 3ft tall. I already know that everyone has their own opinion on how many watts per sq ft or per plant so I decided to just do it the way I want. I am mainly doing it because I have always loved growing plants outdoors(not cannabis). For this grow I will be using a total of 137 watts for hopefully 3-4 females. I have 6 plants started right now that have been in the box for exactly 1 week now at 18 on 6 off then will switch to 12/12. One cfl is 55 watts-2700k and two 6500k( one is 40 watts and the other is 42 watts). I have currently been using the two 6500k light for the week. There is two PC fans with no filters because I'm not worried about smell. With my limited space I will do the basic lst , top or fim, and for sure going to use the screen of green method. Could 2 maybe 3 ounces be reasonable for this grow? Don't hate please.

Look in the title it says soil. No nutes at this point because they're only a week old. Don't know what I'll use yet like I said its cheap nothing serious. Also I said 2 maybe 3 oz not 3 or 4. I said I expect 3 or 4 females. Oh and BTW I'm not a complete noon I have grown outdoors a few times and it was awesome. I just have never grow indoors before.

Good luck on your "indoor adventure". Since you have the outdoor experience and no control over Mother Nature, Welcome to Indoors. Now you are responsible for light, temp, wind, and the humidity. You should be able to handle these for 12-16 weeks.Give or take a couple days. Oh, you also don't have to worry about small animals eating your young plants but you do need to keep alert for insects.
Hope your buds will be fat & frosty :joint::hump:

I'm using some low grade soil(probably not good, but all I could get) that's called schultz premium potting soil. I've seen online that it works, but not the greatest. I was going to get fox farm but I ran into some money problems a while back which is why this is a cheap grow. They have been doing great so far but seedling don't need the greatest soil for a bit. Couldn't I use fox farm when I transplant from solo cups to pots?

Nice! I already see different phenos!! Cheers!!!
I was thinking the same. One of them has a more narrow type of leaves. There is a chance of it being a bag seed that accidentally got mixed with the sour d seeds. I'm going to buy some FF Ocean Forest potting soil and some FF trio nutrients( Big Bloom, Grow Big & Tiger Bloom Liquid Fertilizer). Also, do you think i should put some mylar on because right now I just have some white poster paper on the walls.
