1300w cfl for growing?

ive come across a 1300w cfl light.. just a massive bulb, im completely new to indoor growing/lighting, and im just wondering if i could use this to grow?

1300w? from a CFL? that seems a bit unlikely... the point of CFL's is to save a bit of money. if you are running 1300w of CFL you may as well have a 1kw HPS running.

Here 300Watts = 1300watts

I guess i dont get how a 300 watt lightbulb is the same as a 1300 w. Maybe if you had 10 of those?

the light output is equivalent to 1300w of incandescent lighting. that's where they get that number. IMO it's still bullshit but whatever, that's how advertising works.

no one should us anything above 150watt CFL is a waste. shit i only use 23watts and 26watts way better lumens/watts

If you do go for the 300w make sure you use the appropriate socket and wires. Using that bulb in a cheap worklight socket (the plastic ones) is a fire waiting to happen. I can't even find a socket that it is safe for on a quick search, +1not very economical watt per lumen either
