125 Watt Envirolite PC Grow Journal - Blueberry

So after much debate with a 250 watt envirolite various fans and a PC case I decided to lower the wattage to a 125 watt because of the heat it was giving off.
Originally temps were about 95 degrees so I put in two 120mm pc fans and this has brought it down to some good growing temps of around 79-80 degrees.

I am also using a two litre bottle with drainage holes and string attached for the LST later on and covered the empty case with mylar. The growing medium is soil and perlite.

At the current stage I am on 18/6 which I'm going to stay on for about a week then switch over to 12/12 for the rest of the grow trying to keep this plant real short!!

I'm going to have to make some modifications to the pot once the roots become bigger. First run at a computer case and LSTing so it wasn't a bad effort I didn't think.

Anyone got a grow journal of a PC?

If you put the light on for 24/7 instead of 18/6 you will get bushier plants. And since you're doing stealth, the electricity being used will barely be increased. Fairly positive about that. And bushier plants equal more yield.

yeah i have a journal of a pc grow, but its in the works, they just sprouted, hey you should keep the lights 18/6, longer dark periods help get females, i hope urs is a lady!

If I keep it on 18/6 then it will be having shorter dark periods won't it. Do you mean shorter dark periods help get females?

Also, my PC is not light proof. It's in a dark cupboard so theres no chance of light creaping in when lights are off. I would like to make it light proof though.

Any ideas on getting a PC light proof?

Also any DIY carbon scrubbers you could recommend?

Yes, you will have shorter dark periods. But the plants will stretch for light during those times, the nodes wont be as close together and your space will be slightly wasted.

So how long till I should switch to 12/12? I'm planning on doing a ScrOG and I want to keep it in veg until i have all the bud sites through the screen. I was thinking maybe four weeks on 18/6? or less?

I would say 3 weeks. On my last grow I vegged 2 WW for 4 weeks at 5 inches tall, they ended up being 12 inches tall! But if you got more room then veg more. Are you changing your light to red for flowering

Also I would recommend you have your light period 24/24 to stop stretching, and bring that enviro down so It's 1 inch away from top for maximum compactness. Can't wait to see the yield on this.

On my last envirolite grow I didn't put them close until they were at least three weeks old. When i tried putting them closer the stems collapsed seemed to be heat stress?

Yes I got the red 125 waiting to go in for flowering.

I've forgot how tall the case is so i'll have to remeasure it sometime soon. I'll take your advice at three weeks if it's somewhere around 12 inches.

Did you LST the WW?

Hey. Your stealth grow looks good man. What strain is it? Have you thought about what your gonna do for odor control when the time comes?

It's a feminised blueberry seed. Not 100% certain what im gonna do for odor control at the moment. Going to have to look at some DIY carbon scrubbers on the FAQ section I guess. Any Ideas?

Oh yeah, i just read the title again, my bad. Urm, a carbon scrubber sounds good, it may take away the 'stealth' part though. I grow in an attic so its not so much of an issue for me.

hey man i was just saying 18/6 is better than 24/0 from my experiences and from what ive heard, the dark period helps roots and increases female chances.

He's got a feminized seed; he would be mad to start a grow with 1 plant from bagseed

NOpe, and I had the 125 blue enviro 1 inch away for the whole veg time. I ended up with 30g, but that was with 1 200 red and 2 125 blue.

24hr of light is best for ubove ground growth, 18/6 favores the roots...soo..um ...
