Hey guys I dont post much and I am kinda new. But I wanted to post pictures of my setup and what I'm doing for yall to see and so I can also get some tips and feedback. The garage is an insulated 13x30 foot garage. I have 12 gavitas 6 on each side spaced on 5 foot centers. I have a 3 foot walk way and a foot on each side of the boxes. My canopy will technically be 4x28 on each side. The lights are brand new gavita e series 1000 watt DE. I have them hooked into hydrox controller. For cooling I have 36000 btu mini split and a 14000 window unit for cooling. I am 6 days into flower strain is gmo cookies. My medium is a custom super soil mix with 50% roots 707 in 5 gal pots. I did a custom top dress 2 weeks ago of fish bone meal, bat guano, worm casting, rock phosphate, kelp meal, Dolomite lime, worm castings, Epsom salts, and granular humic acid. This mix inoculated and mixed in to the top layer of dirt should feed my plants through flower. The strain is a stretchy one the first 6 lights have 8 foot ceilings and the back 6 nine foot. Even though this strain is stretchy by the time its done and I weave all the tops I am confident I can keep my tops 36 inches below or atleast 3 feet below fixtures. This is obviously imperative but with aggressive topping and foliar feeding and root feed of phosphorus solubilizing bacteria and a PK boost and weaving the tops I can keep my canopy low. This strain is stretchy has tbe perfect branches for weaving through the netting. This is my first ever indoor my temps were 71F day time and 65F night time during veg but during the stretch I'm keeping my night time @ 70 and day time 73 to minimize stretch. Please I am happy for any feedback as its my first rodeo I water by hand of course old school right onto the floor. My RH is low because I am out west where very dry so hoping it improves.20201029_222322.jpg20201029_222316.jpg

I'll bite....what is VPD? And can penicillin cure it? lol. No seriously, never heard the term VPD.

You probably don't have to worry about PM too much, but I know other people in the desert who have gotten it....and bugs are always a concern. Do you have an IPM in place? A few dollars up front could save you thousands down the road. And skip the topping and just stick with weaving, aka supercropping. Why waste tops??

Looks good, best of luck!!

Yes, he waters by hand...

I'm stuck on VPD being essential so I'll mention it in every thread now, heh.

More air movement would be a plus, from what I can see.
Thanks for the reply how do you line your temps up to vpd? I have been reading alot about it, one of those things I never worried about being a sun grown guy. I'm planing on running a c02 burner, with propane. An 8 burner with controller. After the stretch. I have a 10 inch vortex intake and a 8 inch vortex out take 12 oscillating fans and one big 30inch cage fan air moving front to back. In take is in front of room low out take at end of building up high I can post pics. Was gonna run a semi sealed room with c02. With air exchange at night. I'm thinking about just running without it as its another expense and these plants are insanely healthy I have been growing in dep for 7 years and out door these plants are very healthy. So unless c02 is necessary to hit 2.5 per light I may want to be basic. Does anyone know anyone hitting high numbers with out c02? Also I should of gone with the bottled c02 and laser tubing. I messed up and took the wrong advice worried about off gassing with the c02 burner.

Looks pretty damn good honestly. Do you hand water? What about the runoff? I know you said your in a more arid climate. But think about possibility of humidity getting up later in flower.
Yeah just dump water all over floor lol, I am worried about it pushing up RH but I have a dehum handy and I'll only water light on when its hot and keep a crap ton of air moving. This strain gets very tall super stretcher. So the buds will be 3.5 to 4 feet above the standing water. I will prune heavily underneath the plants for good airflow and preventative sprays of armory in early flower. I think the RH spikes won't be too bad

Absolutely I have been scoping, I worked in commercial cannabis for 7 years so I am well versed in organic preventative IPM lots of preventative sprays and them beneficial insect release as well as nematodes to soil.

Nice work
I would have vegged another week or two and took advantage of the netting
Like others have said surprised your temps are good with that many fixtures
So the reason for short veg time of about 25 days was that this strain triples on the flip
. It stretches wildly. All vertical growth you need to top aggressively to bush it out and stunt it a little this strain will stretch for the for the first 21 days of flower before it even sets flowers.

Wow I'm surprised that is enough ac, my 36k barely keeps up with 6 lights.

Nice looking grow.
Same it really is enough though.it does help that I run the lights 530pm to 530 am. And the air at night gets down to low 30s its freaking cold. Also my lights are dimmed to 850 watts but still I can keep it 70F to 73F max in the hottest part of the room with lights @ 850

I'm small scale here so it's really easy for me to control my room...

One thing I'm certain of is that you NEED air exchange when using CO2. How much and when? Don't ask me ; )

Do you have a link to your set up? Thanks! Also k forgot to mention that I have about 16 plants per light. Also I have only watered once in the last 25 days. The 5 galloners stay wet especially with my super soil but still has good drainage and aeration. They were also tiny clones going straight into the 5 gals. When they are full grown they'll be drinking alot I'm sure of it. This is why I went with super soil to not rely on having to feed liquid nutrients. I just do teas, microbial products, aminos, carbs and a few PK boosters just for that extra push when they are in mid to late flower really light doses though. I have done this in dep and gotten amazing results.

You're thinking way too highly of me lol.
I'm in a fucking closet doing amateur shit.

I'd love someone to post some equipment that controls the climate of a room without putting a 2 ton unit in my backyard.
Need to have air exchange from outside, HEPA filtered, humidify, dehumidify, cool, heat.... and blowjob

I average between 2-2.5 per fixture no c02, I ran c02 this run and it's gonna be around 3.3 per fixture.

But some of that gain is probably the genetics used and mono cropping last run.

how so? according to the chart with my low RH here in CO, i should run at 59F. LOL
Thats wild, way too low! Anyone use the nuance trick of giving them 24 hours of darkness? The first day of flower i give them 24 hours dark to build up the hormones quicker. Then 1 week in to flower i do another 24 hours of darkness. I believe this will help.the plants set flowers faster and flower quicker
