12 light layout / 50w per SF question

I have a 20×20 room and 12 1000w lights.

My question is how far apart do I hang the. To get 50 watts per square ft?

Also I have a 2nd question. Would it be better to use a normal size hood or the bigger hoods like the Raptors ?

If u are using the entire room that is only 30watt per square foot.

You need to go with like 20x12 or 14x17 area.

Or get 8 more lights to equal 20,000watts

So if I go with 14×17 area how would I lay out the 12 lights? Like what distance from the next light?

just break it up evenly?

Each light will cover 20sq feet at 50watt/sq ft.
So each light will cover 5x4
