12/12 w/ Nutrients Question

Currently finishing up shortriders from nirvana and was gonna pick up the remainder of the fox farm line up I am missing. Currently have and using liquid ferts: grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom. I germinated my master kush (also nirvana) and am going to do 12/12 from seed from now on for ease of operation anf lowering electricity cost. However, my question; is open seseme necessary for 12/12 seed grows? I am for sure getting beastie bloomz and cha ching but open seseme I wanted to ask about because I know its supposed to help induce flowering. The plant wont flower until its mature, regardless of photoperiod, correct? So 12/12 just helps keep em small? So theoretically I should still use open seseme in very small amounts because the plants will be less than 12". That was my thinking, anyone 12/12 growers/nute experts please discuss.

+rep answers. Thanks guys/gals

Don't do 12/12 from seed, everything in nature has a natural order and you wont like the bud!! get a generator to relief the grid charge

Is there some kind of potency break down because of it? I thought they received less light so they would grow less until maturing, making for a smaller flowering plant

exactly you need a plant thats matured and why bother spending money on a grow when you get nothing in return meaning in yield u need min 3 - 5 weeks veg time
bottom line is plant needs growth to make yield

as for cutting power costs down what kind of power are you useing ??

Its essentially a sog guys I'm not looking for huge results. height is a huge factor for me, only space for 1 cab and I want perpetual so its either autoflowers or 12/12 seed. And 12/12 will lower thee electricity bill. Only running a 400w hps but I have tons of electronics that are killing the bill. Why not save money if there is a way

You'd be better off flowering small clones but, either way mature! You have to understand that you wont be saving electricity but wasting it in low quality bud if you go thru with it

I unfortunately dont have access to clones on a reg basis and no room for a mom :( I've been doing a lot of googling on potency vs veg time and can't find anything that says or implies lower quality, because its strain dependent, not veg time. From what I've found idk why u guys bash on 12/12 so hard there is a lot of ppl that get great results. Nonetheless, I still haven't received an answer to my question.

:peace:

You're right I only have opinions because I've never done it. THC is certainly set by genetics but nonetheless we also know that poor growing conditions affects the degree of potency and overall quailty. By going straight into flowering you'd be forcing the plant into "hemp mode" when it can barely produce as much energy as the leaves can. I'm not saying it wont work and maybe difference in potency wont be that dramatic, but you'd be giving up some treats that's for sure.

hello mate i do nothing but 12-12 from seed, im unsure of the products you mention but this is how i do it......i now use coco and either hesi bloom or canna 2 part, also got pk13/14 which i use from week 2 flower til week before finish, i dont force flower with nutes , i just let it flower when ready...plants range from 12 inches to 32 inches , best to start with cfl til you flower to keep short as poss but you can always tie the top down....dont listen to people who say quality is not as good because they havent got a clue...........ive had plants start flowering at 2 1/2 weeks old and pull 2-3 oz dry per plant using a 400 or 600 hps.........heres a couple of examples of 12-12 from seed , hope you like

Thanks bruh, I'm assuming your not a fox farm user. I'm not familiar with the products you use lol. Yours look good! I have a 2ft 4 lamp t5 I could use for the first week or 2 to keep them small.

This is the first 12/12 ive done been growing a long time but due to a change in circumstances had to change the way i grow. I reckon ill pull 2oz plus off each (thats the target anyway) gonna be running a perpetual 12/12 from seed grow from now on and chop different strains every week. Hang around the 12/12 from seed thread all the info you could ever want is there mate.

Those are some good looking plants! and I'm sure you have compared to mature plants as well. MJ is truly amazing being able to skip a whole life cycle without diminished returns. I'm gonna run a test asap. This would be really nice for testing crosses

no not fox farm, dont get that here, i grow in coco, coconut husk, used to grow in peat based compost but kept getting fungus gnats and ph problems ......yeah t5 will help keep it tight.
