12/12 Help .

I started doing the 12/12 about a week ago , I just want to know for how long should i do this , How long does it normally takes to start seeing flowers , Buds ? & when should i stop the 12/12 ? Please i just need a few tips to make this stage faster/easier . i will give REP +

That is entirely stain dependent. If you are extremely lucky it could be as little as 6 weeks, but it could also be as much as 16. More info is needed.

It will take a couple weeks to see buds but watch out the plants should start taking off...you will see rapid growth and how long you want to flower is basically till you think its rdy could b up to 8wks or longer, dont get jumpy and pullem early :-)

i wouldn't say its when you want., i thought it was til 50% of the trichomes turned red color then flush for 2 weeks with plain water then the rest



edit. not plain water but ph'd and no chlorine

are u starting 12/12 from seed? a clone? a one month old plant? r u just trying to sex the plant? once u have started 12/12 u stay on 12/12, unless you have a young seedling, then u can change it to like 18/6 to get more growth before going on 12/12.

actually the "when u want" part is what kind of "high" the end user is looking for. If they desire a celebral, uplifting type high, the plant should be harvested when the trichs are mostly clear, maybe 20% cloudy. If they desire a bit of body stone along with that, then they would harvest when about 50-70% of the trichs are cloudy. for a full couch lock body stone, the trichs are harvested when you have at least 50% amber. but u should be flushing BEFORE that time, if u wait 2 weeks after they r 50% amber u r in the zone of loosing quite a bit of the thc, because u would be late harvesting the plant at that point. But I don't flush at all so that for me is never an issue.

You totally lost me with this , can you explain in different words , Im a first time grower .

sure can, they r tiny hairs, )trichomes) most visible using a 30x or better magnifying glass, see trichs full explaination here and here are some great images. so basically around the time or expected harvest u should be using a mag glass to check the color of this trichomes. They go from clear, to a cloudy color, then to amber color. U should harvest ur grow when u get to the point of the "harvest high" u desire based on the color of this trichs. Is that better?
