12/12 from seed Until sexed..

I was wondering about the idea of starting seeds straight on 12/12 light then when they show there sex. Keep the females a put them into 18/6 light and grow out for clones ect.. what every ones thoughts on this Idea?

Most people take a clone while mother is still in veg, and put the clone into 12/12 to show sex, faster than trying to put the whole plant back.

As well as the possibility of them going hermie if you make too many mistakes.

And another stab in the dark here I don't think the plant will be large enough. When it shows its sex if it ever does due to the plant not focusing on growing
