Hey Riu just a quick question for all the experience growers and one that can help me out what are the difference between these two plants that both started at the same time both under the same light 12 and 12 from seed same nutrients and in the same exact reservoir bubble bucket what could be the difference in these two plantsP_20151107_163721_HDR.jpg P_20151107_163655_HDR.jpg

Something similar happened to me. The two chronic plants below (the two in the middle) are the same strain, GSC, also from bag seed, germinated the same day, and shared the same lights. The only difference was that the smaller one started off in a smaller planter, and didn't even begin to think about trying to catch up with the other until I transplanted it into a 5 gallon soil bucket. Oh yeah and I first let them germinate in regular old Arizona soil... Both grew fairly slowly until I got them into soil of the correct PH. The big one is now 20" and thebsmaller one is 10". Which leads me to the fact that you're using a hydro setup. Have you been balancing the PH daily? Because the roots won't pick up the nutrients unless your PH stays between 6.0 and 6.5, and that could be a reason a plant's growth might be stunted. Also, not all seeds, even sometimes seeds from the same bag, are created equal. It could just be that one was a better seed. Just trying to troubleshoot, cuz sometimes it's easy to forget the simple crucial stuff. Nice ladies you've got there, and hopefully you can figure out your stunted growth problem soon. The best of luck :)IMG_20151107_122857.jpg

Did you start 12/12 from seed? Mine aren't From the same bag at least I don't think so I just tend to keep the good ones from time to time

Need more pics under a higher kelvin, hard to tell the health. What you are probably experiencing is called phenotypes OR one plant is shading the other. Why did you sprout under 12/12? Why not 12/12 week 2 or 3?

No I'm currently on 18/6. I've never tried 12/12 from seed. Is it an autoflower strain or are you trying 12/12 from seed experimentally?

OK I'll post more pics when the light comes on but both plants popped at the same time and had the same length of tap root when planted it was just slow growing until it started to flower then it stretched just testing the theory of 12/12 plus wonted a quick harvest

Well keep us posted, I am very interested in your findings. I have a neighbor who is currently doing a 24hr veg, so it will be interesting comparing results between the max and min possible lighting regiments

Its great power bill stays decent an if u keep the plant between 1-1.5 feet tall u won't get an dead leafs at the base yield is OK as long as u keep it short for light penetration

Different strains, first one an Indica dominant hybrid, second one probably Jamaican Sativa. 150 HPS works well in a 3'x1.5' cabinet.

Yeah I don't understand what the point of the thread is. how do you expect to pop two seeds and have the same growth/structure/anything They aren't clones...

Nice. I was thinking at first it might be strain difference but then thought "as a general rule aren't sativas supposed to be taller than indica's?" But I suppose there is always the exception to the rule. Should have known since both plants appear adequately healthy, just one is smaller with finer leaves

Actually, looking at it again it's probably a hybrid. The lower leaves do look pretty wide. Anyway. you get all sorts of plants even from the same strain.

Right? I'm pretty sure my girls are both girl scout cookie, but one leaned more towards it's og kush ancestorage with a short husk and fat, bushy leaves while the other has more of the durban poison genes which are apparent by the greater height of the plant and the hybrid-looking leaves. Just like a human brother and sister may be fully related but look nothing like eachother, so gene distribution may allow different dominant and recessive genes to exist in sibling plants.

I don't do hydro anymore but when I did I had similar issues. One half of my DWC was growing vibrantly while the other side kind of lagged behind. I found later that my airstones were not being supplied the same amount of O2. I also found the cause was airlines that were clogged up with bacteria. Not saying you have an issue with bacteria but your problem could surely be caused by faulty airstones or inadequate airflow. It is equally possible that your pump is not keeping up or that one plant is getting more light exposure than the other. I seriously doubt it is related to strain; its more likely that one plants is getting more light and/or O2 than the other -both of which can drive faster growth.
