Precisely. Id like to say it seems petty to be outed for a 2 hour delay bit eh, the people have spoken :dunce:
Rules are rules, but like i said before, if anything, it will set the plant behind, and quantity and quality will be off, so i see no advantage in the grow from the mistake. This is a contest of skill in a small container, who can pull off the best grow, if the grower messes up, it will show and the final results of the grow most likely wont be great, growers loss due to the mistake. Its not like you up cupped significantly or something like that to be on the advantage side of the situation. Even the hefty cup mistake was kinda frivolous, maybe we should of had a rule to take a pic of the bottom of the cup at the beginning, just to make sure everyone was on the same page from the start.

Anyways, it was for all fun, and comrodery with each-other. And heck, there is only like 5 left anyways, almost more sideline growers then contest growers, lol.

People rushed our start date otherwise we would have started with a lot more people I think. I know timing was a factor for Dawgs Comp but still feel like we rushed the start. Now that the thread has a good following and some of us have made the mistakes we have, our next comp will be bigger and better with less mistakes. A little tweaking of the rules and we will be good to go!

I dont understand the whole "dawgs contest" because they are still 12/12 anyways, and there is no way everyone is going to be done by Jan1st anyways. Just like the whole germination/soak days thing and in the dirt in a 2 day notice. This is a skill contest, if we had a method of germination that we think is outstanding, or guarantee a winner plant with your germination knowledge, THATS what we are doing this for, lol.. Anyone can grow a plant in a cup of dirt, but what knowledge do you have to excel in the situation for a winner plant was the subject of this contest. Im surprised we were allowed to top, or lst.

I think we should be allowed to use at least a 24oz cup personally. As much time we invest in a stupid little ass plant and babysit like a bonsia tree in the time frame we put aside for it, is well, MEH.. Im not even going to enter the other contest, because i say fk these small ass cups, its been done several times, and 1 can simply send out for beans that grow mega buds, and most likely win anyways due to the weight because that bean grows massive buds.

You want a contest on the real? Everyone start with the same genetics, feminized, and the same medium amount, simple. NOW who got game? That way, we know we have the SAME, EXACT CHANCE with each participant, and THEN, it will come down to knowledge of lights, nutes, plant manipulation, environment, and overall skill.

Sounds like there is plenty of interest for a contest with everyone using the same genetics.

Dawg's comp is popular with a large field and has very nice LED lights as prizes from sponsors on RIU and I'm guessing that is probably why it will remain LED only.

If a seed bank takes interest in putting together seed packages for a comp and we all purchased those seeds maybe in turn that seed bank will put up some decent prizes from the money they collected. As an RIU advertiser it would be allowed from what I understand.

The seed bank would want to give us really good stable genetics for the comp and we could reveg those plants if we like the results.

Now let's say a seed bank does this and some newbie's following along say to themselves, I'm not planning on playing but I'm going to also purchase a pack of those seeds because the seed bank has an interest on delivering a quality product for the comp. That could also benefit the seed bank IMO with some additional sales.

I hope it happens some day! :weed:

If people can’t handle the simple rules on here they probably shouldn’t be in the dawgs comp this is me being.nice the dawgs comp is cuttthroat ...excuses are like assholes everyone has one
Yeah rules are rules, everyone here that has violated a rule did it by accident though, not intentionally cheating, or they wouldn't have told everyone about their mistakes.
That's why I ASKED what everyone's vote was on the matters, if it'd been a rule violation intentional, I wouldn't have asked.

I thought everyone handled it pretty well. Everyone was polite and dropped out without issue when a rule was broken. I think everyone here would fit in well in dawgs comp. If anything we've learned here to be a bit more prepared because, as we see, the competition can and probably will, drop like flies. Making these small mistakes now , can help us avoid them later. #themoreyouknow
