You got a journal for your Durban?
Nah, I don't go with journals mate, I just post pics of my frosty buds in the 12/12 from seed thread. Maybe when I've got the experience to do LST or something I may start a journal, or maybe my next seed order will have a journal come with it ;) It all depends on what I do next.

Yeah man!
1) It runs out quick, so just be aware how much is being used.
2)Also keep it away from any light.
3) Another thing I noticed is that most of the 'female pollen' sacks that developed didn't contain actual pollen. So you should spray at least half the plant to be sure you get enough viable sacks to take pollen from.
4) Oh yeah, and start the female to be sprayed about 10 days before the others, because the pollen sacks can take a while to properly mature and begin to crack open (when they are starting to crack open and you can see yellow anthers in there, is when its good to pick and just test if its at a good stage to get viable pollen).
5) Get a fine artists brush too to 'paint' the pollen on the hairs, and and some tinfoil to collect pollen on :-)

Good looking on the tips I actually went around to the pawn shops looking for some Canadian silver coins to make my own colloidal silver today but didnt find any:-(

critical.jpgCritical - smells kinda musky like intermediate B.O., but with a hint of fruityness
durban.jpgDurban -taken a few days ago, shes really fox-tailing now. Maybe a few days left?
kabrales.jpgKabrales - smell is gettin a lot more like cheese now. Less fruit and spice, and more like I just touched a piece of extra mature chedz that fell on a freshly mown lawn
SCS.jpgSCS - gave me my first 5 seeds when i took a small branch off. I think I will wait a few more days and take her down to land
SEEDS.jpgMy first 5 feminized auto seeds. Already equaled my input of the original 5 autos I bought for this project (2 didn't make it, 1 was turned into a hermie with CS). Should be a nice cross with two really frosty strains, one being the brand new 'Autoxtreme' from Dinafem/Dutchpassion, which has amnezia/super haze and lowryder genetics, and Samsara seeds 'Super sonic crystal storm' which has Black Domina and lowryder genetics. These seeds are really big!

Looking good man, I love ghetto setups, for some reason, it's always more satisfying than having stuff grown in a "pro" set up.

Awesome Job Lowblower.. been watchin awhile on this Kabrales run.. had a friend recieve same group of freebies.. Hers is looking very close to Yours but a couple weeks behind... Her Orka freebie from Blimburn and the AK auto also popped and are doing well.. Orka is not WHALE size as described.. rather small pheno I got.. very Indica dom... but crystal covered.. the AK Auto went under Her 1000 watt HPS flower room lite at 2 nodes about 6 inches tall.. Is now 3 feet.. She keeps plants at 2 or 2 1/2 feet due to size constraints.. this lady just makes it in a corner(not under light).. but looks Very sativa dom and as Her first Auto plant it is doing better than expected ... Also has the G13 cheese freebie going and that is the winner.. crystal covered goodies from bottom up... plant is 21 inches and She expects an ounce or a little more from Her on a short Veg time due to 600watt MH ballast failure..:-(... Im in unfriendly state and don't have much to say but wanted to pipe in.. Thanks for the colidial silver info!!! may have Her try that sometime too...

Critical

Pheno: relatively shorter plant, average flowering time, compact buds, musky smell
Potency:8.5/10, all round brain blitzer
Taste: Crisp and wholesome
Smell: musky like body odor while growing, once dry its more peppery which earthy herbs
Bag appeal: 9/10, compact buds covered in trichs with a strong aroma

Durban

durban.jpg

Pheno: fast growth, fast onset of flowering, average flower time, intense lemony aroma
Potency: 7/10, a heady buzz, and the body like being wrapped in a duvet cover whilst levitating slightly in the air. Very easy to deal with. Comfortable daytime smoke
Taste: Earthy citrus fruits
Smell: Unique, rich smell that it partly lemon, but unlike anything that I can describe (I haven't smelt anise in a while, so I wouldn't know if that was it)
Bag appeal: 7/10, compact buds, but looks more hairy than covered in trichomes, but they can be seen glistening away through the hairs. Earthy-sweet lemony smell

Was the Durban a creeper? The one I smoked was a creeper, one minute I was slating it for being rubbish, then all of a sudden it was like "Oh there it is!" To which point I quickly entered a giggling fit. Lol.

yeah Its a creeper lol the first bong I had it took about 10 mins to fully kick in, like you said, at first I thought it was shit, then after a while I had a pretty intense head buzz. Ive only had two small bongs today and I've just been glued to my seat listening to tunes and watching controversial documentaries. I actually like the high a lot its been a really relaxing day really. Kinda thinking I should have maybe done some work though.....lol

I get like that sometimes when I smoke, especially on indica dominant strains, Durban is a sativa, but it's known for it's indica-like appearance and high according to Dutch Passion.

My Durban is all messed up though, it's 13inches tall and about a week and 3 days into flowering. I doubt it'll get much bigger, so it will serve as a decent taste tester I guess...

I won't be buying from Dutch Passion again though, out of my 3 seeds(all Durban Poison), the two which I've grown out, only one of them so far as got to the flowering stage. One was a full blown male, no hermie, straight male and the other is the one I've described just now. I'm reluctant to even pop the 3rd seed...

I may decide to toss it in a field somewhere discreet in next years grow season.

A friend I had in high school coined a term for that. Putting pit stick on over b.o. made an odor called "sweet funk." I hadn't thought of that in ages.

You could find some pure silver wire or something through a jewelry supplier. It might be easier to use than coins for making colloidal silver.

Ah all of my 3 Dutch passion DP fems germed ok, sorry to hear you didnt have much luck the other one. Deff pop the 3rd lol. I think you should still get a decent amount of growth from her yet if you are only 1 and 1/2 weeks in. I think my gal stretched till about week 4 of flower or so

The Pakistan Ryder and Kabrales are drying at the moment. Both plants should have had at least another week but Im moving out this week. The PR flowers were very sparse and probably needed more time to ripen and plump up, but anyway, Ive had a couple small bongs of some dried flowers today and its actually reaaaally strong weed. I think a hybrid between indica and sativa, but when the high wears off its a pretty intense couchlock feel that takes a hold of u for a couple hours before quickly disappearing. Until the next hit. I havent sampled any of the kabrales yet though. The nugs on her were so dense and frosty its untrue. Has a smell almost like orange essential oil and hints of cream. Not sure if thats like cheese or not....but the smell is nice. Im sure she will dry up nice and I will cure some nugs to get all the potential out of her

Kabrales

KAB2.jpgKAB1.jpg

Pheno: average relative height, slow to start flowering, quick to finish flowering, smelled kinda like a mix of oranges, cream, hash and fresh grass :-/
Potency:9/10, probably the strongest strain i've grown so far in the last 9 months. Really wholesome indica buzz that is very introspective
Taste: quite a familiar taste. I nice hashy resinous taste.
Smell: sour cream, herbs, flowers, resin
Bag appeal: 9-10/10, compact buds that are white with THC glands. Potent sour skunky hashy smell.

Pakistan ryder

PR.jpg

Pheno: stretched a lot in flower, took ages to flower (still wasnt finished), bud:leaf ratio = 20:80 in weight. Sparse buds that when defoliated look very airy.
Potency: 6.5-7/10, its a creeper. But 10-15 minutes after smoking, a comfortable indica buzz sets in. Nice in the end but takes too long to get there.
Taste: Tastes light and skunky. Not a great taste, but quite nice if only small amount of tobacco used. Kinda limey in a bong.
Smell: like dried lawn grass, with light hints of wood
Bag appeal: 4/10, Because the buds are so sparse a little looks like a lot, but it has hardly any smell except grass and wood. THC cover is nice but the airyness of the buds lets it down and makes it look disappointing
