Thanks D !
Yeah man, you gotta get that ppm meter. Trust me and hear me now.....spend a little paper and get a good combo meter eventually, if you didn't already.
R/O is Reverse Osmosis water. Like the water machines you see at Walmart or the grocery store. Put the 5gal bottle in and fill'er up. Or by one for the kitchen sink at Lowes or HomeDepot, even better and cheaper in the long run. R/O water has very low amounts of elements/nutes/salts compared to water out your tap. My tap is 290 - 300 ppm, but my R/O water is 20 ppm. That's 6.7% of 300 ppm ! I can then work my nute mix and KNOW what's in 93.3% of my plants food.
But you also have plenty of ppl that use their tap and do outstanding grows!

BoomerBloomer57 is one such person.
I'm sure the Professor will drop in.

thanks for the info mate

I have a Digital PH meter and i have a Digital PPM meter coming in the mail

Im jus trying to do some cloning via a bubble bucket i made but its hard to get good advice

Ive been told the Stem Stays out of the water and ive been told it stays in the Water

Im so confused :( but i guess i will jus hang around the bubble head thread and ask Some questions LOL

The secret is in the nodes !
You want one or two nodes in the water/getting bubbles, and two or so above with the leaves trimmed in half.
Take your cutting just below a node, then cut those nodes off where they connect to the stem. The hormones in them will help with the rooting process. Dip with your hormone gel/powder/solution and put in your medium/bubbler.
Again, allow one or two nodes above the medium w/ leaves cut in half. This allows for less service area for the plant to breathe and makes it focus more on root production in order to survive.
Some rooting hormone in the water helps too. Stems don't HAVE to be submerged, but AT LEAST catching mist/water splash from bubbles.

Yeah it sounds like im doing everything right

I wonder whats going wrong then

Im currently trying a little stealthy Bucket bubbler LOL
it Seems to be working SO Far buts it only been 3 days

I will post some pics later maybe you can help me

Explosive growth:

These were just seeds in an envelope about 25 days ago...

Picture 419.jpg

6 plants in there, 2 Nirvana Medusa, 2 Nirvana Aurora Indica, and 2 Snow White Fems

Look at your plants before you go to bed and then when you get up, you'll see fast growth daily.

The biggest one is about 10"...they'll be going into flower this weekend.

...and only under a 250W MH.

DWC is great.

My remaining outdoor potted plants are only about 5" tall and VERY skinny.

Nice grow so far Flo.

I'm chiming in.

Thinking about going for my first DWC this next grow. Finally got our mother
established and the tent dialed in.

Thanks for the kind words, PK and Danny !

Prof. BB, may I PLEASE have some of what you smoked earlier !? LMAO

Most def cool waters (64.7F) and no light shining in my res.
These particular Igloo Marine Coolers also have extra UVA/UVB blocking abilities, according to the label.
Need to go buy one more in a day or 2, for my res changes, so I can also flush w/ a 1/4 strength nute solution while doing so.

Also increased my ppm from 125 to 245, about 7 hours ago.
All the pots have at least 4 -5 roots each, hanging in the water now. Big change in the last 24hrs with that progress.
They have been in this water for 8 days now. Will be doing a fresh batch by the end of this weekend.
I am also going to run 4 Chem 08 beans 12/12 from seed right next to these in another cooler IN 10 DAYS !! I have about 30 beans so I can afford it.......hehe

Will post pics in another 4 days, after some more serious growth.

Okay, I know I said in 4 days more pics.........
Also, my combo Milwaukee meter always registers 1- 1.3 degrees cooler than the probe I have in there that's showing 65.7F
It's not made for water, it's an outdoors/indoors combo hygro

12 days old from breaking through the rapid rooters. :weed:
ph 5.7
ppm 245
H2O temp 65F

LOOK AT THOSE ROOTS !! :hump:

Doing first res change tonight.

QUESTION : Will the plants go into shock if the NEW solution temps are say, 75F versus OLD temps at 65F ?

Picked up 4 - 14 inch flat air stones (blue ones) from wally world. Gonna put 2 per cooler, so I can replace the 2 - 4 inch stones in there now. :bigjoint:
