10x18 room(s) 24 plants in each. need lighting help!

heard of EDFLs....? Much more usable (UV & IR) and almost no heat to deal with.... use the same fixture for veg and flower.....! The capper is they use just under half the power to get superior results. I grew for ten years w/ HPS, etc., and nothing touches the performance....!

I am currently running a 10x20 room..

8-1000watts
6 Wall Mount Oscillating Fans
8" Inline (Draw cool air in)
10" Inline (Draw heat out)

Just throwing in stuff that I got setup so you could get a visual. I had a close friend who grows commercial set this room up. 6 oscillating fans was a minimum he would require to have a lot of air movement in a big room like that. Just for thoughts. Also, inline fan exhausting should be a size bigger than an inline fan that is drawing in air from outside. Good luck on the room bro. I will have a journal up soon when I get my camera after this harvest.

Well i will be in and out of the room many times a day and the door has slots in it so fresh air will come through with a fan in front of it... i will deffinetly up the amount of fans then lol. As for the inline fans i already own 2 6" ones an i ran on for 3 1kw lights last setup and worked on so i will run 1 in between each 2 so---light---light---fan---light---light---outside.

Im doing sealed co2 with minisplits after this go around so dont wanna go crazy on things that i wont need afterwards.

Do your plants get big before going into the 10x20? How big? How long veg time?

Well I am doing all pre98 bubba kush and the cut that I got don't get so tall but before I put them in 12/12 they were about 18" tall and when finished in flower grew to about 30". From clone to solo cups, I let them get root bound for 2 weeks then transplant into 2 gallon nursery pots for another 2 weeks. I top one time a week after transplant. After its time being in 2 gallon pots I transplant to 5 gallon pots then I top another time and this is the final pot I leave it throughout its last cycle of veg and flower. After that I only veg for another 2 weeks. A lot of people tell me its not a lot of time for it to veg from 2 to 5 gallons but I will take pictures of my roots cause I will be harvesting next week.

bigger pots equals bigger yields. trying to grow monsters in 1.5 gallon pots is counter productive. plants want room to grow roots out. why do you think beds are always better than pots. only reason people don't use them as much is that they are a pain in the ass. those may be 1.5 gallon pots but that sure as hell isn't 4-5 ounces on any of those plants. bunch of popcorn on the bottom and sides.

yeah, I just switched from my 3 gal pots to 5 gallon pots...for my scrog. hows it going scooby? hope all is well. You helped me with my electrical ratings and other things. I have my room built now. I have 1 dinafem og kush growing(mother plant) just waiting for self help to install a new heating system and after they are gone iM gonna take clones and start the grow....still need to pick up soil and a few other things though...hopefully i can get that shit from lowes(since its winter)

scoob, awesome work! how do you grow that? just top it a bunch of times or what? I see you did not use a screen.

thanks man. just lst'd the shit out of it. never topped it. there are a few stakes in the pot and all the branches are tied to them. i normally use tomato cages but they were all messed up. finally got a bunch of new ones and some other stuff when i was in the states the last 3 months. check out my garden journal. bunch of pics of all the goodies i brought back with me.
