How do you calculate grams per watt accurately?
Realistically,
It's calculated by adding lighting for vegging and flowering only.
Doesn't include any other electrical other than lighting.

So if you have a zero veg system like A SOG.
And you flowered 80 plants under a 1000 watt.
Producing 14grams ( average / realistic for first time grower ) per plant.
Total yield would be 1120g
So your grams per watt is 1.12gpw

If you achieved 21 grams a plant ( good yield with some consistent maintenance and a few grows under your belt/ very manageable) .
Total yield would be 1680g.
So your grams per watt is 1.68gpw

You think 1 gpw is average? What do you think about my 4 plants in a 4x4 net with 2 600s?? I would be thrilled to get 2 lbs. Lol. I was thinking 1. 1.5. It's blue kripple. Supposed to be high yielder.
I think allot of people dont include the Veging period when they calculate the gpw yield.

So again: under a 1000 watt Light:
If you vegg the plants for 2 months ( 8 weeks ) for a SCROG.
Then flower for 2 Months ( 8 week flower ) .

How do you calculate the Grams per watt?

Because i would have completed to complete cycles of SOG in the same period ( 16 weeks ).

So the SCROG needs to put out at least 2240grams to have a 1.22 gram per watt.

Right???
