when my 1000w lamp is hooked up in my spare room along with the rest of my equipment the circuit trips on my breaker and the power goes off in the whole room and on that entire circuit.

Is it out ok to have my quipment hooked up to outlets in walls?
Do i need to install a circuit breaker just for that room?

Any electrical advice would be very appreciated because I have a very limited knowledge of electrical issues

You should be ok with only one 1kw light on a standard 15amp. What else are you powering in the same room?

Do all the outlets go off in that room, some rooms are hooked up to two breakers. If so hook the light up to the outlet that does not shut off with that breaker, it will spread the load.

A single 1000 watt light will be fine on a 15 amp breaker the problem is that you obviously have other devices on the same circut that are pulling electricity & together with the light are pulling too much electricty so the breaker trips.

A circut can & will power electric outlets in several rooms all off the same circut breaker.

What you need to do is find out exactly which outlets in the home are powered from the same breaker switch as the breaker that is powering the light,to do this you should plug something into every outlet in every room in the home, use things like table lamps & radios, turn onn all the electrical devices then go turn the breaker in question to the off postion.

Now you can look around the home at which electrical devices turned off with the breaker & you'll know what other outlets not to plug things into so as to not overload the circut.

thanks for the replies. i wanted to be able to have all the wires in the same room for purposes of concealment, but apparently the breaker for that bedroom cant handle 5 air pumps, 2 regular fans, 1k hps, and a few cfls. so i have to have an ext. cable running through the house which gives away that something is being powered in my spare room. something i tryed to avoid. i guess, what can you do?
