yeah well its not silent by any means and definatly not ideal for stealth but i personally think its quiet for the amount of air it pushes. some of the reviewers on amazon dont feel the same way. i guess it all depends on who you are. im 1/2 deaf so....

I am so thinking about ordering some spores for some shroomz....i have been wanting to try my hand at growing these for a couple years now.

Shrooms get old fast!! After my first 4 flushes I had over 3 lbs of em and not enough friends to feed!!! Imagine that, besides they are alot less "hands on" than MJ, more like "hands off"!! But it is fun to try something new every now and then. If you want I can give u a supply list, and a how to<<< well at least how I did mine, I researched on the Shroomery forum for about 5 months before i tried my hand @ Mycology.

yeah i have done a fair share of researching. i wouldnt say im an expert but it looks fairly straight foward.

i will probabally just do a vermiculite and or rice cake tek. want to try and do perpetual style usinf my colonized jars to inoc new jars.

right now i have all kinds of different things growing in the grow room.

cosmo's
morning glories
bell pepper
basil
tomatoes
grean beans
flax
cacti
pomegranite
catnip

lol, and yeah the same thing does get boring. would love to hear your take on the Myco thing any and all advice is welcome here.

Dude, I've always want to grow some shrooms shit since like back in high school haha but never got around to actually grow some... that would be a nice addition

Eeew, those things are gross but kinda fun maybe once a year lol ive had a couple of friends try to grow them with limited success but my friends are idiots youll do better i can tell

yeah, i mean it looks fairly straight foward. like i said im not going to do anything crazy. i need to hunt down a pressure cooker, grab up a case of canning jars and some vermiculite, rice flower and perilite. theres a million tek's out there (i hope im using the terminology correctly haha) but the one in the vid i posted above seems tried and true. not looking to cash crop them just get enough that i can try em out. My old man will eat em up but i dont think he has ever had god quality ones.

anyways i think im going to order some spores despite my GF not liking the idea and pick up some supplies today to make the jars. i seen a interesting concept on using high heat RTV silicone from an auto porats store to make a self closing hole in the lid, i need to research this some more but seems like a great idea to keep contams out of the jar. if and when i start ill be including it in this journal, i know poly has grown some so im sure he will chime in. the only thing i can see the self sealing rtv silicone to be an issue with is gas exchange (letting CO2 out).

anyhoo. off to the grow room today to get this can filter and fan setup then off to hunt down v day items and shroom equipment. im giving myself a budget of 50 bucks to spend on equipment for shroom making. (not including the pressure cooker)

oh and Acid if i am sucessfull ill ship you some, they should be alot easier to mail since they dont stink as bad as the mary jane does.

Matt that would be great )) and I would be in debt again Me Love to pop some shrooms like Ninja said once a year maybe twice, last time I've done some shrooms it was like two years ago and I decide to go with my wife to kmart tripping on shrooms hahahahah that was some shit...I would do it again haha

alrighty...

spores ordered. cost 20 bucks for 3-5 day USPS shipping and 2 golden teacher 10 ml syringes. not going to go overboard as mushrooms i bleieve you can reproduce for little to no effort so no need to spend lots of cash on this. just hope i can do spore extracts better than i can clone!! lol

also my beans from the tude have hit customs. and my 600w ballast should be here by tuesday, left cali yesterday so maybe be here on sat but i dont know and not getting my hopes up.

time to go shopping for some mycology supplies, i hope i can find a pressure cooker at a second hand store.

just got back from town. i do say not too bad as far as expense goes. i paid about 50 bucks for the pressure cooker. its only an 8 quart model but it fits 8 of my 1/2 pint mason jars in it.

aside from that i stayed well under my 50$ budget.

20$ spores
6$ clear tote for fruiting
4$ bag of vermiculite
10$ mason jars (12) 1/2 pint
3$ brown rice flower
8$ humidity temp gauge
3$ heavy duty tin foil

so i spent 54 bucks and thats including my spores...not too shabby. I will be journaling this grow in the halucinegenic forums i will post a link if anyone wants to follow. spores should be in by next tuesday.

got my grow bags in so i will be busy hooking up my carbon filter and transplaning everything into smart pots. pics later!!

on a side not im pretty impressed with this spores101.com website. when i ordered my spores you get 1x free syringe of your choice. i was unaware that you had to leave which one you wanted in the comments ection. i contacted support and within a couple hours they updated my order so i will get what i want A+ in my book, now if they canget my shit shipped out asap i will be an even more happy customer.....

i transplanted some of the plants out of thier plastic grow bags and into the new fabric root pouches (smart pots) the plastic grow bags were much taller than the fabric pots so i had to dosome root pruning and stressing out my plants.

so when i went to my grow room my friend that im helping out get his first medical grow going noticed a small little bud still growing on one of my recently harvested FCJ. i told him he was welcom to take it and try and re veg it. so we trimmed the root ball and put it in a smart pot.

my shit came in from the tude ALREADY how about u matt? got mine yesterday. and yesterday i talked to a buddy of mine who said he has a spare 600 magnetic ballast hood and bulb for me for 100 bucks...moving to my own crib with my girl in a month or so, so i am going to get that 600 and put it to work. hopefully i can get some numbers like you matt and others who follow this thread.

nah my order is being processed through customs right now. i check it daily and as soon as i get it ill post some pics for sure. hopefully i get a decent T shirt this time that i can actually wear lol.

sweet deal on the ballast, does it come with a good and cool tube?

if it dosent you may want to look into just buying a new e ballast from apollo 160 bucks and you can have a whole kit with hangars, cool tube, MH and HPS bulbs and a ballast. 3 year warranty on the ballast and 1 year on the bulbs cant really beat it for the price.
