Im not doing anything wrong, your just not understanding and are convinced flower starts the day you flip the switch. It does NOT, the plant has to adjust to the drastic change in light and also has to change chemically before it can just begin shitting out buds.
Reread the link I posted, argue that. The yellowing at each of the bud sites after 12+ hours of darkness (I like 24) is the onset of flowering. That yellowing is the beginning of your flowers. If your plant is using energy to create flowers it is "Flowering". Stating otherwise is ridiculous (thus the ridicule).

You dont miraculously have buds the next day after you switch to 12/12.
No kidding, you don't have finished buds after a "week of transition" either. So, what the hell does that prove? The plant begins producing flowers after 12+ hours of darkness. Again, there doesn't have to be a flower present, the plant is using energy to produce flowers, that is there very definition of "Flowering".

The plant changes chemically. It has to transition from veg to flower, there is a short period of time between these stages where this happens.
This "short period" is the hours of darkness (starting at ~12+) that initiates the change from "Vegetative" to "Flowering". Again, the first sign that your plants have responded to the change in light hours is the yellowing at bud sites. Congratulations, the yellowing is due to the plants use of available nutrients to begin developing flowers, or simply, "Flowering".

The plant is not in veg then the next day in flower just because you flipped a switch, get real. Cannabis transitions from veg to flower period!
Yes, it is. This is "real". It does "transition" as there are very distinct changes between "Vegetative" and "Flowering". This change happens when you alter it's light cycle to 12 hours of light (or less). The changes in the plant begin immediately as the plant directs energy to producing flowers that very "night".

You got anything more than a nute label and a misguided opinion to prove otherwise?

Holding my breath. bongsmilie

(Edit: "beginning" was meant to be "begin". Stupid phone)

I dont know what your plants do, but mine go through a week of transition before flower. That's my method and my results are impeccable. That chart was just a quick example for basic purpose but is enough to prove a point. I have my own experiences, my own conclusions, and dont feel the need to run around and try to find everything ive read just to try to look superior. Not everything I know and everything ive learned and experiences is on the internet. Its ridiculous when a handful of people need links to someone elses publications as if I dont know anything. My experience and results mean a lot more to me than someone ive never met or even spoken with. Your links and publications mean nothing to me. If you want to know what I know read, study, and open your mind. All your doing is referring to someone elses information and experiences. Just because you read it on the internet doesnt make it true. Im done with this ignorance.

@chronicals77 You couldn't be more wrong (again). I read, implement "tests" on that which makes "sense" and lends the possibility of "benefit". The point here is, ALL of the published articles on the subject that we now speak of support my own experiences. This same experience "umbrellas" the hundreds (maybe a thousand plus) different strains I've run over the years, in differing environments/mediums. I have about 30 strains at the moment (that will be whittled down to ~20).

"Links" to "proofs" support your argument. You said "anyone that knows how to grow...", I stated a fact that contradicts that, you argued it, I linked scientific research supporting my stance. You post a "Nutrient Label" and say "N.A.S.A.". If the science supports my argument that isn't my fault.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter which week you consider to be the start of flower, all that matters is flowering begins, flowers form, ripen, and end up in smoke.

All I can say is look it up. There are many master cannabis growers that do not start flower until the second week after flip. I am not the only one. Where do you think the info on a feed chart comes from? It comes from scientists that grow and study thousands of plants to publish these products and information. GH is one of the most scientific based nutrient companys there is and I believe in them and thier products 100%.

1.) What do you yield off your 1000watt? and what's your setup??

2.) Is 2lbs off this set-up feasible????(WILL NOT BE A FIRST TIME GROW)

16 plants (vegged for 3-4 weeks from seed), in 5 gallon pots, using fox farm soil and nutes, under an aircooled 1000watt(hortilux super hps)....all in a 4'9"x4'9" grow tent w/proper ventilation, proper temperature control, and no co2

Strain is going to be either Super Lemon Haze(greenhouse), Querkle(tga subcool), Blueberry(dutch passion) or Tangerine Dream(barneys farm)

Aprox. yield of 2oz+ per plant...?.?.?...
i veg 12 in a 4x5x6 tent under a 1000 watt mh in 5 gallon smart pots 3 to 4 weeks. i run pro mix worm casting blend and grow veganic no till style with lost of ewc teas and seed sprout teas.flower under 2 1000s in a 5x8x8 sealed room in 10 gallon smart pots run co2 and with the right strains a can pull 3000 3500 grams in a little over 3 and a half 4 months. gram, gram and a half a watt is not hard to do but you cant cut corners gotta find the right strains and what nutes work good for you and those strains and keep mothers...

what do you mean start flower till after second week of flip?? are you referring to stretch after you flip and how long it takes for buds to really start forming??? or you talking feeding??

When you say find the right strains, do you mean big yielding strains?

I tried to end this kindly...

I did "look it up", I even posted a link to peer reviewed science. Every peer reviewed paper on the subject states that flower production begins immediately. There is not a 7 day period where the plant is stretching, but not using energy to produce flowers. You even said it yourself, your own plants have buds forming in under a week, so how on God's green Earth can you assert that flowering begins a week after 12/12. Then you ask me to "look it up" after I asked for a link to peer reviewed work, but you did nothing but complain about "why do people need links and not just take my word for it/credit a Nutrient Label/N.A.S.A.".

I did look it up and posted the link already. You're the one that is lacking in the "Reading" dept.

This has gotten so ridiculous that you must be trolling.

strains with good vigor over all health and work well with the way you want to grow and the set up you have so i guess you can say good yielding strains cause there are some out there you really have to work to get good yields from, cookies being one of them. it takes a lot of trial and error and going through strains to find ones that yield and are potent. i will always test one or two clones with my normal strain just to see how they do and if its worth feeling my room with. i know some grow for personal use and want to change it up and grow a few strains at a time witch is cool but if you want good yields with good turn over rate and consistency keeping it to one maybe two strains that are alike is best in small rooms.

But are you saying your getting 7 units of cookies on 2k watts in a 5x9?

I don't use 1000w lights as I find they can heat up my flowering room to much. But I do use 9x600 hps I start off using 6 for the first 3 weeks in flower and start the 9 of them to finish them off. I pull these on the weekend and got 9 lbs of them but it was a winter cropDSC01043.JPG
