1000 watt hps question!!!

:bigjoint:ok so i first started growing with cfls because i was limited space and had to keep it away from my mom lol.. but now she found out about my grow and actually became interested... so now i dont have to hide my grow any more... and now i have the opportunity to use a spare bedroom as a grow room... i decided that im going to keep my little ladies in my closet with cfls for vegg... and im going to use the spare room to bud with the hps... i want a 1000watt hps but dont know wat model or wat kind to get... my budget is about 400$ for the lamp... i want a good model and wudnt mind going over my budget a few extra bucks if its needed... so basically im asking all u 1000watt hps experts for ur input... wat model do u guys recomend??? are the ones on ebay good??? if they are please send me a link!! thanks alot!!

i have a 1000 watter and love it just be perpare for alot of heat from it but go to atlantishydroponics.com search 1000 watts get the cheaper one i got one for 300 and a cooltube for 50 so u goning to love it

oh ok then i think im going to go with a cool tube, do u have any ones in particular that are good and im trying to grow around 10 plants.... thanks!!:weed:

ive been doing research all day and i noticed that alot of people really like the 1000 Watt EYE Hortilux Super HPS bulb... do any of u have a link or a website of were i can get that bulb with a lamp system and ballast?? anywere cheap and reliable!!! i cant seem to find a full system with the bulb included... or do u guys think its better to get the bulb seperate from the lamp and ballast... and if so were can i get a lamp and ballast combo without the bulb... i appreciate it!:weed:

No but if you call around someone will make you a deal. This guys suggestion tho it looks short and not really thought out, but he is right on the money. You only need a valueline 1000hps. But you will love the huge xxl reflector and it will help keep it cool as well (its a vented hood that you hook up ventalation to). Otherwise the Harvest pro 1000 is a great ballast and they seperate the capacitor from the other stuff so heat is not aas bad on the components.

For around 500 you can get the cool tube, eye of hortilux and lumatek 1000 W digital ballast from igrowhydro.com. I ordered a 600 W setup and it arrived quick with no hassle. Was the best price I could find when I bought it so I'm happy.

If your trying to cover a pretty large area then i'd recommend getting two 600watters but thats entirely up to you. 600watt lamps are the most efficient and is often the choice for growers trying to cover a larger area. You wont have to worry about huge reflectors this way but you will ofcourse need some good ventialtion...same as the 1000watt.

I suggest you go over budget.
Buy yourself a dual 600w Lumatek ballast instead with two air-cooled hoods.
I picked a complete pair(Ballast,Hoods,Bulbs) for about $550.
You'll have better coverage with the two lights, and it sounds like you have a good amount of room.

I agree with Sure Shot, I started out with a single 600 Watt lumatek and now have two. If I had to do it all over again I would buy the dual 600 Watt Lumatek, you wont' be disappointed.

yeah i checked out the dual 600 watters and they are pretty nice.. i will have a veg room and a flowering room... how many plants will this model cover??? do u guys think this is a good lamp?? its very cheap and looks pretty good. shud i get this lamp and then get the hortilux bulb?? or is the bulb included good??? tell me wat u guys think about this lamp... shud i go for it???

ok i did a little more search and since im on a budget and i just want the basic 1000watt hps system with the hortilux bulb i found a simple ass system with the hurtilex bulb for $224.97 it comes with a nice reflector and a good ballast. wat do u guys think?? i can get 2 of these for under 500$... i think im gonna consider buying this.. im going to do some more searching for a better deal out there... but this is the link of the system.. it gives u the option of upgrading bulb... check it out fellas and tell me wat u think!!!!!
