Does anyone have any idea how much extra a month it would normally cost on someones electric bill to run a 1000 watt light for 12 hours a day?

i run two thousands at 300 per month.

$20 to $30 max.

It depends on how much you pay for a kilowatt hr. it should be on your electric bill.

STEP ONE - TAKE HOURS USED AND MULTIPLY BY 1000W (12hr a day X 30 days = 360 hours)x1000= 36000

STEP TWO - TAKE THAT NUMBER AND DIVIDE IT BY 1000 TO GET YOUR KWH USED (36000 /1000= 360

STEP THREE - TAKE THAT AND MULTIPLY IT BY COST OF ELECTRICITY.

My cost is 6.8 cents a Kwhr so that would cost me $24.48 per month per light.

360 x 6.8 cent= $24.48

Don't know where the other guy gets his electricity $300.00 dollars for two lights is way out of whack.
