so its back to the slow yet simple beginning of a new cycle.2 months ago i purchased some just stellar atf and found a few treasures hiding among the dank.i was so excited when i found them that i made a post w/ pics and now i can finally cultivate these little dark beans of potential.for their first week theyll be on 18/6 w/ a couple 26 w cfls each.i was going to use my 400 w mh just i was too paranoid about stretching/burning so theyll be on the cfls for 1 week or until theyre leaves look like they can handle it.after 2 or 3 weeks of vegging under the 400,theyll make the switch to 14/10 under my 1000 w mh.i also threw in some true breeding beans of this local strain only grown by one breeder to my knowledge, its called super gila monster and its been stabilized for 23 generations.the person actually offered me 5$ for each seed returned to him but from what ive seen of this strains buds these genes are pretty close to priceless in my opinion.lets hope for females!!

5/19 day 12 from birth on 24/0 cycle. strains- atf bagseed & super gila monster (ibl)
as of yesterday the 4 larger seedlings (2 atfs & 2 super gila's) are now under the 400w mh and the 3 late planted seeds (Terryberry) are still using cfls.
From now on ill do my best to be more detailed about my plants' environment as i would like to hear specific criticisms and general input.

temps during lights on-78

humidity lights on-55

average ph-6.6

so far they have not been fed due to them being at such an early stage in their life while still maintaining a nice rate of development.i plan to start flowering them when they hit about 8" so that 2 months or so down the road they should only be a little over 2ft.
Veg nutes(once they need them)-
humboldt nutrients "grow" natural 3-1-3,and "humboldt roots" which is a concentrated root stimulant that i usually keep in play until their 2nd or 3rd week of flower.

Flower nutes-ive chosen a humboldt nutrient 2 part fertilizer regimen over the other humboldt nutrients "Bloom" fert.the 2 part fert consists of master a and master b with a combined npk of 5-5-9,while the bloom fert's npk was 0-10-0 which's results were outperformed by the "master" ferts.

going organic has been very rewarding for the past couple of years especially in the taste and even burning department.
i had to do transplants for all my plants today so i thought i'd throw in some pics of the strawberries that got re-potted.

thanks alot bor, theyre a little under 2 weeks and the 2 atf's are already sportin 7 bladed leaves.think im going tog keep the concept of holding off on nutes in the first few weeks from now on.its relaxing for once to know nutrient burn is impossible atm:-P:leaf:

update action-
they will remain under the 400w mh til theyre mature enough for the 1000w,til then its just not necessary.
lights switched to 14/12 on 5/25 to hasten flower cycle and for definitive sexing.
temps w/ lights on- 78
off- 70
humidity lights on- 32
off-48

as of today i still havent gave the atf or super gila monster any nutes and glad to say they are looking/performing quite well.on the 28th they will be 3 weeks old and even though i usually dont flower until halfway through week 3 at earliest i know theyll be just fine.
with their next feeding ill give them their first dose of my master a&b flowering nutes and see how they respond at 3/4 strength.one of the atf's actually already smells dank without a question(through stem rubbing not the airborne bomb smell).i know they can still all turn out to be males but as long as i get one lady i'll be cool.plus i still have 3 mother plants chillin in veg with a good friend of mine which are shishkaberry, frankenberry, and my terryberry.i have grown very comfortable with the three aforementioned strains so if i get no keepers with the atf and super gila monster ill have dependable strains to fall back on.

19 days from birth

tall atf subject-

short squat atf

the super gila monster is slightly behind the atf in development, but i have much higher expectations for the buds produced by her(if i get ladies)just because im more amazed by this strain every time i get some(this might be due to it being stabilized for 23 generations).i wish it was more than a local strain though because its def. an award winner when grown by the person i got it from.thae way i see it if its half as dank as the bud i got the seeds from then this will be my most pungeant harvest to date, plus now i get to see how different patients can benefit from this holy grail of genetics!

SGM day 19 from birth
p.s. theyre about 1/2 the size of the atfs cause they had skimpy stems in need of burying

1st subject

2nd sgm subject

so theyre first week of flower has finally come to an end,and theyve all also experienced their first fert. which they reacted beautifully to w/ vigorous tissue production and an ever thickening stalk.the plants were also transplanted into a 2 gal container the same day.
on the 27th the atf plants got fed an organic mix of 5-5-9 along with the short subject being topped and lst'd to slow vertical growth and promote undergrowth.the tall atf also got topped the next day on the 28th.at this time im pretty confident that the tall subject is a female, and her short squat counterpart is a young man.

on the 11th i found a few pistils poking out in between the small topped atf's nodes,so it took her 15 days to show sex.its a little long to wait compared to my terryberry's which uniformly show sex between 8-11 days.either way im very grateful to have a female belonging to the atf genepool even if it turns out looking far from the atf plant structure(odd's are it will)

heres my lady 4 days into technical flower

so not that much excitement happening atm,but there still haven't been any issues concerning nutrients so im thankful for that.
nutes-tiger bloom(ran out of my humboldt nutrients) 2-8-4 every 5-7 days
happy to say both of my atf bagseeds turned out to be girls, and so far iv'e cloned the girl that showed her sex 1 week earlier than the taller subject successfully.
their light cycle was changed to 12/12 1 month ago.the short atf showed its first pistil on the 11th,the taller one showed on the 18th.even though theyre not as developed as my last girls were at this stage they also werent given the same strength nutes since i havent got to know this strain as much and i didnt wanna overdo it.

to start off with here's a pic showing the bonds holding down a couple of the shorter ladies lower branches, there were twice as many a couple days ago.

plant & future budsite photo

heres a few of the other tall atf

more pics next week, safe growin everyone

couple of group shots, theyve acclimated well to the 1000w and the heat that comes with it.
as of the 25th they transitioned from a vert 400w mh setup to their final environment with more than double the lumens.
strains in the pics are atf, super gila monster, and terryberry

the plant on the chair is my terryberry which is still vegging.bottom right is the sativa pheno of terryberry, pretty damn amazing but a light yield so i only take 1 or 2 clones every cycle.bottom left is the super gila female while the far right is a terryberry (indica) which ive left alone as far as lst'ing.teh other 2 are the chunky atf's.
all flowering for 1 month 2 days

5 weeks 3 days from 12/12
things are still going pretty well and they are developing slowly but steadily.last fed with 2-8-4 at lights on yesterday
temp lights on-86
off-74
humidity lights on-35
off-47
some shots of the short atf that is 1 week ahead in flowering than the taller atf with the thicker stalk.

some of the taller subject

the leaves they grew in the beginning looked pretty thick and indica dominant.now of course i have no way of validating genetics added to the already diluted history of knowledge available on the strain in the first place.the point is ive seen leaves become more thin the later they get into flower on many of the strains ive come across and im not sure if that is whats happening or if there are sativa traits being displayed by the almost pencil thin canopy blades and their tall bushy structure.
if anybody has thoughts on that it would be cool.
i only keep around one pheno of terryberry by cloning that has buds the size that these are by 5 weeks and thats because its pretty awesome in every way except for yield so if these atf's have sativa genetics as ive read the original possesses then id like to make whichever plant that preforms the best overall a long term contributor through continuous cloning.
so far looks like they may be half way through flower but who knows with these things due to random happenings.next update in a week

week 6 day 4 12/12
still using tiger bloom 2-8-4 every other water, so theyre pretty much fed every 4-5 days.now is the time i would usually stop using nutes with my terryberry, but i have a strong feeling these atf girls are going to be 10-12 week plants(possibly longer, who knows)

short girl that started flowering one week earlier than the other atf.all together she has 8 colas

atf #2,she has 12 colas.the result of f.i.m.'ing ,the first smaller atf was topped

group shot including-2 atfs,2 terryberry's,1 super gila monster under the 1k

another update in a week,be careful out there

week 8 day 3 12/12
heres a few of the tall atf 1 week behind her sister.i didnt feed them last water because the plant below was having some nute issues,as far as not feeding the shorter girl i believe shes close enough to harvest for me cut the "juice"
View attachment 2267354View attachment 2267357View attachment 2267362

this atf is has larger buds than the other but they are not as dense .either way i know i wont be dissaponted plus i already have a clone of the fluffier of the two starting flower so next cycle ill have a better feel for her feeding and environmental preferences

View attachment 2267436View attachment 2267438View attachment 2267437View attachment 2267439View attachment 2267440

this has been a cool (& potent by the looks of it) strain to grow but im not goin to breed with it or fill my growroom with it aside from keeping one clone around every cycle.10 weeks is a lil deep for the harvest im expecting, but its clones revised conditions may make a world of difference,we'll find out in 1 1/2 months.until then i have an epic seedstock of my Terryberry which finishes sooner, requires lower maintenance, and maintains a high-5 worthy harvest every go-round.plus theres always more backcrossing/stabilizing to be done .
another update in a week
