At the moment, I have 2 Master Kush sprouts and 2 Swiss Cheese sprouts, with one more SC waiting to break the soil(lets hope its still alive down there). I have these under 3 daylight 26 watt CFLs and 1 warm white 23 watter. I DO NOT PLAN ON FLOWERING IN THIS SET-UP, im going to be puttin them outside late april-early may. Even if the plants are only going to be in this amount of light for 2 months, should I add one more bulb?

I only have room for one more light, because i have a light timer with a 3-plug extension cord with one light plugged in and another 3-plug extension cord plugged into that, with the other 3 lights plugged up. So I only have one plug open, that is if the 100 watts going through the timer isnt already going to blow it...

Haha, I bet your timer is rated for more like 1000 watts. I wouldn't worry about 100 watts having any effect on it. Yeah, if you're gonna veg for a couple months, add as much light as you can, if that means you can only add one more bulb, add it. When it comes to CFL's the more light the better!

you need to add more light for the grow to be worth the wait. You can grow in any amount of light, but with that little light you will get a small yield. Good luck to you though.

quick question...to get optimal results from a cfl grow... how much cfl wattage do you need per plant?

t0r, its not exactly about wattage, you want to pay attention to the lumens. And prototypeone.. Again im not flowering in this setup. Are you saying its gonna make it stretch? The beginning of flowering season where i live is like august so once theyre outside they will grow a good bit and i dont want them to get so big theyre hard to care for.

Will not enough light make the plant be squater or make it stretch?

yes i know this but i wanna know that 1 23watt 6500 is not enough for a plant..im just wondering how many watts per plant you need...

you probably dont want any less than 100w (actual usage) a plant if your using small cfls otherwise as prototypeone said it will not be worth the time and effort, get a couple on top and 2 or 3 (or as many as you can manage to fit) around the plant.
