You can't be a father figure to him, you are too close in age. You need to look at him as your younger brother. It is just change, and no one likes change. But, you need to do what you need to do for your loved ones. If you plan to spend the rest of your life with this woman you need to accept her brother into your household. You have to, it wouldn't even be up for discussion if it were me. You do what you have to do or you leave. Good luck.
