oh, i thought you were talking about those "onerous and burdensome" regulations, not those onerous and burdensome minimum wage laws.
i do not see that as a moral thing, but rather a basic financial issue with cost of living in mind. based on simple math, it takes a certain wage for a full time worker to survive on without government assistance.
the other option is to let people work for minimum wage or less and cover the rest on the government dime instead.
call me a commie wigga jew, but i believe in the free market to not exploit the worker, rather than the government to coddle the worker when the free market should be doing its job.

free market capitalism should pay full time workers a living wage or else it is a faulty system and thus government needs to provide the assistance that free market capitalists refuse to.
