Plants take up little to no sugar. Sugar Making the bud sweeter is a myth. Sugar does feed the microbes which feed the plants. Sulfer is a ripening agent. Example. A peach that dosnt get sulfer stays hard and never fully ripens. Wouldnt add any extra sulfer besides whats in the micro nutes untill last couple weeks of flower

Sulfur is the "secret" ingredient in Bloom boosters to pump up the trichs. I'm experimenting with adding some MSM, methylsulphonylmethane, to see if it has an effect on resin production. I bought a pound of it to make caps for my arthritis and thought I would try it out on the plants. I have 5 identical clones at 40 days flower so I'll just dose 1 and see what happens. 1 was dosed heavy with Bud Ignitor and there is no noticeable difference in it's buds compared the the others nor did flowers form faster as advertised so I won't waste anymore money on that stuff.

Big Bud has 10% S and is used early in flowering so Im not sure you have to wait until near the end. I won't grow without it and have used it since Dr. Hornsby first invented it.

Digging up an old thread here, but did you have any luck with MSM? I have a sulfur deficiency and was thinking about trying it. I have some laying around. Epsom salt is probably more tired-and-true but I am searching for MSM use cause I like to experiment.

I'm not really sure if the MSM makes any difference but it doesn't seem to hurt to use it. Can get it at drug stores in caps and health food stores may have it in bulk or can get it in for you I bet tho a small jar of caps would be good enough to experiment with.

Thank you. I went with an epsom foliar and I think I saw some positive results in a matter of hours. Cheers.
