1 Wee After Germ.

so, i got rid of 5 seeds, they either cracked open & the first leafs died ( looked brownish yellow ) or the seed didnt do anything after cracking ... so of the healthy 3 or 4 that i have left .... this one is lookin good .... its been exactly 7 days .... how long of a wait do i got before the leaves start to shoot out ?

depends on a lot of things. but it should start happening in a week or so.

I have had upto 8 days before seeing anything. I almost gave up and then day or so later it started sprouting.

ok lol, well like everyone already knows ..... Patience is a virtue ... ill wait my ass until its dead ..... if this is my only flower to grow ... what are the chances its female ? 50% ? .... are the two pointy things ( sorry not familiar with lingo yet) the only way of telling ? if it is a male ... is it useless ( only for hash if i make it .. )

U should have a sandwich baggie over it for more humidity..seedlings love humid air at this age...

like over top as in just sittin on top, or like .. propped upwards with a toothpick ??

Take a small, clear plastic drinking cup (like the ones commonly found near water coolers), spray a fine mist of water into it, just enough to coat the inside of the cup, not to pool in it; set it up-side down over the seedling. It will provide the seedling with much needed humidity since it doesn't yet have a good root system. Make sure your lights are lowered close to it otherwise it will stretch too much and cause problems down the road.

Or spend 4 bucks on a plant dome and tray at wal-mart.When I plant seeds I usually germ 2-3 days plant and within 2-3 days have leaves above ground
