1 plant under led question..?

If 60cm / 2' in a 3x3, that's perfect. You want your lights at least 6" from the wall on both sides or you're wasting light.
It would be a nice light arrangement for 1 plant, give off just enough heat, but mainly good light spread which i've never really cared much about before. I keep seeing plants under these wide leds with a blanket of light and they look great. I'm going to go down the shop tmrw afternoon and try and order the 1st 5.

Here I was feeling bad because my rate went from .11kwh to .12kwh.. 113 kwh a month for my 315cmh, that's about $14.00 a month to flower.... Guess i can quit complaining now..

Waiting for a price on 5 and 10 sunlight q3wl leds. Went to the shop today and had a chat. They have gen 1 sanlights there on display and they look really good. Tomato plants under them are fruiting well.

Shop price £3259.50 for ten.

Then they called back and said they could knock off £20 per panel, but I'd have to buy the power cables which are £16 each. £3219.50 all in then.

It's a lot, so I'm mulling over it...

120 watt models? I think that price is quite high for just 1200 watts. I will list the parts for 1200w of DIY ass kickage.

70 strips: $600 (this excludes VAT, should be £100) They would run at ~900 mA
HLG-240H-20A x5: $290
Aluminum sourced locally ~$6 for 200 cm (cheaper for me, $4 or £3.12) 24 * $6 = $144

That's almost the whole shebang for $1034 or just under £800. Adding the VAT brings you to £900
Add maybe £150 (?) for wires, wagos, heat tape, elbow grease, etc. and you're done for 5 years.

Looks to me like you could get er done for a bit over 1 pound per watt. It's quite a task, maybe you're not up for it, i'm just showing you what it would cost to make 1200w of damn good leds.

Thanks anyway, but I'm not up for it. No good at diy at all. I'm now considering buying a few used leds. Got to wait for the right leds. If it all goes smoothly I will already have a new led in a few days. It's far cheaper per watt than the sanlights. Will add pics when it's here.

Man I love the feeling of getting a new light, do ur research and I would buy a cheap par reader. It's really justice to see exactly what is going on in ur tent .

Here she is. 1st'ly, there is no electricity saving with this led. lol Mag ballast that I removed with the 400w hps in drew 440w ish watts. This led draws 440w from the wall. Decided to finish my mutant 2 headed Barneys Farm Pineapple Express under this led. It's so nice to have an led again. Bought used, so when I shift it it will be still be worth what I paid.

Nice temps in the tent too. About the same as a 400w hps funnily enough.

Barneys Farm Pineapple Express Auto under the led. She's a big old girl for a short plant. I hope this light brings the best out of her. She's got it all to herself in a 3ft x 3ft tent. I read this light didn't quite have what it takes in a 4ft x4ft, so will be interesting to see how it gets on. 1 hps ballast unplugged and that feels good. 6 to go.

Here is my beautiful lady

Really is a toss up to see which is my best plant this round. Currently a great plant like the plant in above post. I don't think I've ever seen a Buddha White Dwarf Auto which is going to yield what this this plant is. Truly dank too. Sticky icky icky lol

I supercrop'd this girl. Took a real chance with a dwarf auto supercrop'n her several times, but she was a spirited plant. Real vigour. She's still going now. I'd like to finish her under led too. Providing it all goes to plan.

Anyway, White Dwarf. 100% Indica auto

Got this girl on 1/4 strength feeds now. She's quite high in N still. I'm in no rush. Nugz are already quite solid.

Next led is here. All tested and working. Also draws 440w from the wall. 120 wide angle. Removed another hps. Not saving on electricity yet, but do still have a £1800 budget. Got the new led above 2 barneys farm pineapple express auto's.

These plants are different heights and stuck in a scrog, so thought it would be easier to cover these with the led instead. 3-5 tents to go. Still considering chucking 2 set ups out and going down to 5 tents.

Lovely looking plant there. Nice spectrum. That's the point I was thinking of. Spreading the light. Was just doing the maths.

5 of these for £2414.75

Or 10 of these for £2939.50

Yeah it's an extra £500, however imagine the improvement on lightspread using 2 leds instead of 1 big rectangular led. Plus less wasted reflecting off the edges. In the end, is that worth £500?
Just wanted to thank you for sharing this post. That Hobby Lobby store sells an HPS Ballast Companies (i have a few beaters) version of an LED. Haha! And its exactly what I've been looking for as for design to replace my Horizon strip lights (dying out) in veg. As well as supplemental in flower. Gonna get new strips to insert in the Horizons eventually, but till then, I'm Digging these.

Only 1.3$/w , Protective Covers, LumLed + Osram, includes IR, Dimmer, looks decent enough.
Not sure what K-Temp they're using as a base. Looking like 4k which is not my preference so thinking of contacting someone to see if its available in A 5K Base. If not ill run it with 65K around it.
More companies should offer these prices.
Been toying with the idea of a square strip build starting w/ 1' strips & moving up to 4'.
I think a design like that would give even more uniform distribution then the Parallel Bars, QB's, or COBs.
Anyways! Those Used Spectrum Kings will get the job done just fine. 440w single disks? Wow! Must be Bright AF!

I've seen those lumatek leds. They look pretty good. The spectrum kings are bright as fuck. Seriously bright. Never seen an led that bright. Noticing the pineapple express under one of them has already got some nice colours coming through. It's such a nice even heat too. Really missed growing under led.

One of my ballasts broke the other day, plus the lamp that was in the reflector has some dark grey shit everywhere all over it. Looks like dark grey spray paint. So they're all going in the bin. Least it lasted until I had my led turn up.

What do you think of those mothers little helper leds? The 100w ones...

Got 334 watts more of led lights coming. Three different lights that I may just chuck in together. 1 panel and 2 single cobs. Will add pics when they get here. I will be unplugging 1 hps and swapping them round for these 3 when they get here. That's 3 tents filled with led. Doing ok so far.
