I was just wondering, how much can you expect to get off of one plant using cfls? How many lights do you need during flower to make it decent? This is my first grow ever and im just doing one plant to see if i can do it. When i harvest it i just want enough so i can have a few friends over for a decent toke session and have the satisfaction of knowing i grew it.

got a super ghetto setup goin here.
What im using right now:
3-23w 6500k
1-23w 2700k
Schults Potting Soil Plus

Also have 4 more of the 23w 2700k for when its time for 12/12

Hey man, take a look at a book called Marijuana BUDS for less Its a great book, they do a cheap setup like yours and end up with a dry weight of 3 ozs. But i do think they have a few more lights than you have. The strain also has a substantial influence on the endyeild, and i can't recall what strain they used.

Goodluck!

ID lst if i were you it stands for low stress training. look it up in the faq's. use as much light as possible! you should get an ounce - 2 if youre lucky from 1 plant using a moderate amount of cfl's, the catch here is the more light you use the better yeild you recieve. REMEMBER!: more light also means more heat, better need for ventilation and prox. to vegitation changes....but doesnt have to.
the strain would also help a bunch, it looks like an indica plant right now from the photos, wide leaves, short growth etc. and if so depending on the amount of care and attention to detail you give during the grow your yeild could suprise you.

I agree with everyone else! The more lights the better, thats a fact when it comes to CFL's. You will never have enough CFL's!!! If you remember that , you wont go wrong. I grew a white widow plant using CFL's from begining to end and I yielded an ounce dry....IT's Possible!!!

i dropped another light earlier while trying to re configure my setup so i went to menards and got 2 new 23w 6500k so i have 4 of those on my plant right now. Im sure that will work for the rest of veg. How many 23w 2700k for flower should i have to yield near an oz? The bottom leaves with only 3 points have some nute burn spots but im sure its big enough now to use the nutes in the soil.

With molases, do you wait till you go into flower to use it?

if you fert now do it half strength..anyway you can get at least 2-3 ounces off one plant with 6-23watters some side light helps but you'll get some nice nugs if you keep an eye on everything...molases is for flowering and feeds the soil microbes which break down nutes into simpler form so roots can absorb them...the stuff is full of simple sugars and carbs the little fucker like.. the soil is the key to the grow not the amount of lummens quote me on that one! have fun...:)

Its like 3-3.5 weeks old from seed. Its about 4 inches tall max. How exactly do you top? It gets you more bud right? How much taller should i let it get before putting into flower?
dont exactly give you more bud just gives you two main buds instead of just one.
all you gotto do is cut the new growth right at the top of the plant off

dude top it at the fourt set of good brances...sound nuts but that leaves you four main branches veg for 30 days train the four brances down and you'll end up with alot of bud sites and an even canopy kinda like a sog but without the chicken wire then flower youll get bout 20 nice colas and some pop corn 73 grams last time dry..67 this time and so on I harvest every three weeks so it tide me over nice check my galley in my profile for my last harvest ect that was done with 8 26 watt cfls from clone to harvest onlt took 88 days my strain is early girl and she finishes in 45-50 days just a thought my clones are only 5 inches when I top it hurts me but its worth it in the end my plants only get 20" tall :) I prefer 20 6 " colas as opposed to two 25 gm colas jus me though beter use of light

yeah man ive got 3 85W (actual) 5000k bulbs and 4 23W 6500k on six plants. they are doin real good. three are a foot and a half tall and the others are about a foot. I'm gonna get four more 65W 2700k for flowering here in a couple weeks. Just keep them cfls as close as you can with out burnin em!

How much space do you have ? longer you veg your plant bigger it'll end up in the end given it's in big enough container . you have to go by how much space you have for that 1 plant.

I'd top her if i was you :D. My last plants i had, i topped 2 4 times and 1 6 times, they ended up filling my closet up. you gotta give her time to recover from being butchered of course.

Here they are - Right before getting found by the piggies :(.
