Hey Friends,

We've been growing 1 plant, in a 3 gallon bucket. In the beginning we used just one 23w (100w incandescent equivalent) CFL, and now we're using three 23w (100w incandescent equivalent) CFL's. The entire time we've had it on a 24 hour light schedule, until a couple days ago we switched to 12/12. We've always been told that 100w per plant is the MINIMUM, so we were pleasantly surprised when our plant grew so healthy into week 6.

PLEASE leave us your comments because it's our first time, and we're rookies. Help is appreciated. We'll keep updating this with photos as it matures!

Cheers for trying to make this work :) She looks mighty healthy so far. If you look at the 2nd picture, it kind of looks like you have a little bit of stretching going on. For the next go round, i would just make sure to keep the CFL's super close to the plants. I just recently switched to HPS/MH from CFL (the snow white was CFL in my sig) so I went through all the CFL trials and tribulations. You're deff going to want more light going into flowering. I picked up some of those Y connectors from amazon, and just chained a bunch of CFLs together at different levels of the plant so I could maintain light coverage.

nice! very healthy looking plant, she'll really boom with more light. how much longer were you planning to veg? if you have the time and she's not in flower yet i would suggest topping her or at least doing a little lst.IMG_20131030_080033.jpgIMG_20131030_080100.jpg here's a few pics of one of mine at 8 weeks after being tied down a few times. I began the lst @ week 4 after sprouting from seed, she has been directly under 124watts of cfls ( 3x 23w 6500k, 1x 55w 2700k) the lights are about 3-4" from the leaves
