1 month today (w/pics)

Hey man..Mine are like 3.5 weeks old and I had mine in the foxfarm ocean forest too. My bottom leaves started turning yellow and I had some purple stems. I gave them 1/4 nutes and they are looking ALOT better. You need some nitrogen.

I don't have any of that but would probably be able to pick some up tomorrow. I watered this morning with Big Bloom mixed in. (first watering since the 6th)

Would you suggest adding Grow Big to the plant tomorrow?

Thanks.

Yes, I can't believe I overlooked that. The big bloom is mostly phosphorous and potassium for flowering. During veg you need a lot of nitrogen. Grow Big is what you really need. The big bloom helped a little I'm sure but the grow big will get it green again.

Thanks for the tips!

I picked up some Grow Big earlier today so hopefully it helps. It's about 6 weeks old now and stands around 6 inches tall.

I wouldn't overwater it. It looks overwatered as it is. Let the soil dry out for a few days and then water with nutes.

I watered yesterday with Grow Big added in so hopefully that wont hurt it.

I've been toking for 25+ years and this is my first real attempt at trying to grow any and wanted to say thanks for all the help and tips.

How much grow big did you use? Label strength, 3/4, 1/2? It's still a small plant so you don't want to go crazy and overfeed. I wouldn't worry about the foliar feed. The grow big is plenty strong.

I used 1/2 strength.

Perfect. It already looks better than your first pics. I can see your change in watering is helping out. Leaves that are completely yellow won't recover but any leaves with a little green left in them should get a whole lot healthier soon.

It looks like it's trying to come back : )

Any suggestions for the next watering? I won't be watering anytime too soon but was curious if I should use plain water or water mixed with nutes.

Thanks

There are different ways to water plants in soil. Some people alternate nutes and plain water, some nute every time and flush periodically. I don't grow in soil so I nute every time but I don't know if that's the best for you. You are going to have to experiment a bit and find out what works or hopefully a soil grower will come along and tell you what's best. If you start to see any brown or rusty colored spots on the leaves then you have too much nute in the soil and should go back to plain water. If they become dull green or yellow like they were before than you need more nute.

But your plant looks 1000% better. It should start to grow really fast now.

Hasn't been watered in 6 days. I did the finger in soil test a earlier and felt some moisture down there so I guess its still not time to water yet. Not real sure though.

A couple pics from this morning.........

The plant has been looking droopy at night for some reason, I don't really know why. It's been doing this every night of the last few hours of its light cycle. The temp has been staying from 74 to 77 degrees. Anyone know why it gets droopy at night?

I like the "pot lift" test to decide when to water. I lift the pot at least once a day. A watered pot is heavy. Once it dries out it will feel like picking up an empty pot. 6 days is a long time. You might be letting it dry out a bit too much now. And keep a close eye on the tips of your leaves that are very dark green. They look great now but if you ever see little reddish brown spots forming there then you have overdone it on the nutes. Looks fine now but just be careful. But good job so far - much improved.
