I have no hot spots, and keep everything as close as they can tolerate, and without them curling for cover from the bombardment of light I provide them with daily with my chosen methods.
I do fully understand that a plant(every plant) orients itself towards its light source, and of course its the only natural thing for them to do...but that wasnt what I was referring to.
Light is its lifesource, so to speak, all leaves will rotate themselves towards it if all conditions are fully satisfied down below... Not enough water or too much water and they will droop somewhat; screw up on nutes and they will let also let you know it...
My leaves are always, always at attention; and reaching out to absorb the maximum light I can provide them with. This is not the same thing as stretching though, so dont confuse yourself here. I simply choose to provide the most light I can for em. That plant was a Serious seeds Chronic like I said, and with about a two month veg (max).
My 3 plants at 9 zips each, equals 27 zips under one light....................
That is damn near double that lb a light theory many propose here on riu to be a maximum harvest goal with a single 1000w light ..............
How many plants and lights does it take you to hit 27 zips?
If you aint hitting that mark even with two 600w's vs. my single 1000w; I'm not the one wasting energy at the end of every day.
My plants speak for themselves and prove the point I'm trying to make; with serious poundages to back them/me up...
Was it a 6 inch hood with a 600w light?
I was referring to the stemmyness of its lower half, which to me simply appears that some extra stretching action was occuring, thats all. If it had maximum light, it wouldnt need to stem stretch so much the first few weeks of flower, and would/could be more of a stocky, bushy bitch with a little training. You never mentioned its dry weight at all.
Do you train them in any way?
Dude, I'm sure it smoked well though, and it looks quite healthy so i'm not trying to rag on ya. And, it does look like its probably a sativa dominant plant, so no worries there chief. Your doing a good job in growing, even though you mention no weights in any of your posts.
My only significant question for ya to answer is this: Have you ever pulled 27 zips from 3 plants with two 600's with any strain, with same veg times and also while in organic soil?
I also forgot to mention, I vegged them with a T5!
