Why don't I see more people trying Cannacopia?

OK, for the record I am not affiliated with Cannacopia in any way and don't benefit from them doing business at all. I'm just an average joe grower trying to find killer genetics without paying an arm and a leg for them. All of Cannacopia's strains are $35US for ten beans at Hemp Depot and I gotta say this is an amazing value to be had IMHO. My first few grows were with Nirvana stuff because like a lot of new growers I didn't want to waste money on good seeds that might die. Well they lived and as a matter of fact they thrived but I was a bit dissapointed with the finished product. It looked amazing with huge buds that were frosty as hell but the flavor and high were bland to me. I finally gave the Cannacopia gear a try and all Nirvana strains in my garden were discontinued immediately LOL. The INTENSE flavors and highs made the Nirvana strains seem even more bland. But this thread is less to trash Nirvana and more to praise Cannacopia. I'm just hoping someone who is in the same situation I was in reads this and decides to try Cannacopia over anything Nirvana makes. I still can't believe that their beans are actually cheaper! It's hard to do this without sounding like an advertisement but fuggit, I think the pics pretty much speak for themselves.

This is BC Roadkill

This is the Bubba Kush

And unfortunately those are the only two strains I have. Had some overnute on the first go-round there as I got a bit aggressive in testing the waters but it's all sorted now. All of their strains are bred with their Deep Chunk males so these won't be 100% Bubba Kush or 100% Roadkill. The Deep Chunk is supposed to increase yields and with the Roadkill I can believe it. It can outperform the yield of some of the Nirvana gear which as my avatar will suggest can be enormous. The Bubba Kush yields a lot less, easily less than 1/2 the amount of the Roadkill, but where Roadkill's potency can be 9.5 the BK can be a solid 10. Another big BIG point I would like to make is that the Nirvana plants were prone to sprout nanners late in flower, sometimes large clusters of them. These were all NON fem beans. I had to constantly monitor and sometimes harvest early which was annoying to say the least. The Cannacopia stuff has been rock solid without a single sac to date. I think that about sums it up. Peace, Love, Huge Nuggets to All.

i think the problem is that companies like the attitude which are decent and trustworthy are too big and what they carry gets seen and advertised for. i have been growing for 1 year and a half now and i just found out about hempdepot and all the companies on there. i think once people realize that GHS is, althought a very good breeder, not the only choice out there, companies like cannacopia will get some more buisness.

Well said my friend. I think you're exactly right. I'm just trying to do my part to spread the word. If anybody has anything to say about Cannacopia experiences or pics or anything feel free to share.

Yea the Roadkill is a true gem without a doubt. Funny story about it actually. The way I got a hold of it was I was watching another guy's journal where he was growing out some Cannacopia beans. I got to know him pretty well and eventually he actually sent me some cuts (yes, he is a super cool dude). So that's how I actually got these strains in my possession. I watched him grow them from seed so I know for a fact that these are from the Cannacopia beans and not some other random cuts. He is a medical grower so he has about as good of access to genetics as you can get. So here's the funny/interesting part: Even with all the amazing strains this guy already has and can get, I just got word from him recently saying his Roadkill mother died and he was pretty upset about it. He was wondering if I could send some cuts back because he doesn't want to lose it for good. This is a guy who eliminates killer strains because he has too many already. For him to ask me to send him some RK tells me it must really be amazing. I have limited references for comparison having only grown 9 different strains but he has grown just about everything under the sun, literally and figuratively. For me with my less than two years of exerience to be impressed might not be such a big deal but for that guy to like it so much really says something to me.

Yea I hope you make a journal or let me know how they turn out at least. I know the BC Roadkill will be fire but I want to see how their other strains do as well. I'm thinking about trying a few more of them. I've also heard the Beanho gear is good shit. My next order will probably be a mix of Cannacopia and Beanho.

Oh yea forgot to mention in my last post that I was also able to smoke some of the Cannacopia Magnum but didn't get any cuts. Too bad because I really liked that one too and the bud I got was fat and dense like the Roadkill. Less musty but more earthy with a strong roasted coffee type smell and taste that was delightful. It was also darker in color like the Roadkill.

magnum is the one i want to try. I went with satori from mandala this time. oh yeah, iread where cannacopia got some of their cuts for crosses from chimera, that comes from chimera himself so that tells me they run with some of the most reputable breeders in the biz.

Wow Mared! Thanks for linking back to this thread. As per my other (first!) post I'm a Medical Marihuana Access Regulations (MMAR) grower in Canada (legal). I'm growing out three Cannacopia hybrids right now. They are:

1) Government Mule, 2) Bubbas Kush x Deep Chunk, and 3) Chuck D (Sour Diesel x Deep Chunk).

The GM has been quite impressive save for some weird leaf formations on one or two of the ladies.

and
and!

But nice tall growth after approx. sixty days...

and

The Kush and Sour Diesel crosses are only just starting out...

Kush

Sour D

I'm getting there!

I think your med patients will be most pleased:mrgreen::eyesmoke: That Bubba's Kush is truly medicinal quality. The other two should be great as well. Please keep us posted on their progress.

Meanwhile, here's a couple more pics I've accumulated since making this thread.

Bubba's Kush

BC Roadkill

Also since making this thread I've tried a few other strains from different breeders. Cannacopia continues to be my favorite.

Wow Mared....f**king incredible!!!! (lol...no other references intended!)

I have a Q...what about the stink factor? I've read that BC Roadkill really smells the place up and Carbon filtering or better is absolutely required...

On another note, I found out that a local seedbank carries Cannacopia seeds!!! Picked up some Krush x DC tonight. Dropped some beans into a glass of water at 8pm this eve. Will see how they come along!

Stay tuned!

Damn if I had Cannacopia beans local I would have every strain by now LOL. The odors are quite formiddable, both with BC Roadkill and Bubba's Kush. Even though you're legal if you don't want anyone who walks in the building to know there is dank being grown there I would get a carbon filter. A simple set up really does wonders. I have a 265cfm inline fan hooked up to one of the big can filters and even when I have the room open to work the smell doesn't escape to other parts of the house. Before the carbon filter it was kind of a sketchy situation with all the air fresheners and what-not that never completely worked. You probably won't really need it until the last 4 weeks of flower though.

Anyways it's nice to finally see some other Cannacopia growers. There's two other guys here at RIU that I know of who grew them but one is long gone and if the other one doesn't show up in here soon I might have to start reposting some of his pics for him:twisted:.... they were insane.
