Just wanted to show off some of my LED stuff...

whats in it specifically (other than 2000wrms)? i have this pc case with clear panels i was considering outfitting with a couple thousand watts of LEDs. I can either go all vero29s or all 100w or 10w red/blue cob leds or a mixture, just not sure what yet and wouldnt mind some suggestions.

A slightly different COB build: 30x10w cool white veg light

The reason im using a boost converter is that the computer power supply is only rated for 18 amps @ 12v, so i have 20 of them wired to my 12v out and 10 of them are wired to the step up converter and the PSUs 5v out. Also, you cant see in the pictures but the heatsink has several hollow points...

A slightly different COB build: 30x10w cool white veg light

The ingredients I used for the build are the following: 1x heatsink from an old pyramid audio amplifier (400mmx50mmx90mm) 2x 80mm x 80mm 12v cpu fans arranged on either end for a push/pull configuration 1x cheap plastic on/off switch 1x +/- 12v out terminal 1x boost converter 1x buck...

Since you guys all loved my SMD based designs, i thought id try my hand using some COB leds.

    Deep Cycle Battery Array

you would probably get more input if you gave us some more info on exactly how much it is you're running/planning to run, and what youve done thus far to minimize kw/h use/maximize efficiency. This is especially true if you are going to run a really big setup. people will practically build it...

    Deep Cycle Battery Array

hmmm i was hoping there would be more input on this, as a friend of mine was asking the same thing, except just for the large amount of amps they can produce. im going to talk to him about it some more and get back to you hopefully in the next day or two if youre still interested in doing this

Using a heatsink with integrated Piezoelectric pump for cooling cob leds

anyone have any experience with these? i just noticed that one of the heatsinks i have is designed to house one.

    Deep Cycle Battery Array

it would be a massive pain to keep all your battery juicage in order. Is the idea behind this because you dont want your hydro to look suspicious or? If i think you might be overdoing it with that thats probably saying something

Warm white 2'x2' LED panel using 3,600 5050 (5mmx5mm) LEDs

I guess that would all depend on what you would be using it for. my clone/veg area working well still. My cheapo lux meter says its giving off 20,000-40,000 lux a few inches below the light, so for an ultra thin, ultra light panel, its pretty good.

Warm white 2'x2' LED panel using 3,600 5050 (5mmx5mm) LEDs

Hey, can anyone answer me this: Is there any significant difference between using a single 100 watt LED and using 100x1 watt LEDs if the total lumens produced are the same and the efficiency is the same? Is there some advantage to a single larger source of light rather than many small...
