This is the only Gavita Pro that is available in 600W. The others (both with a De model) are a 600/750, and a 1000. I got the 600 for $200 NEW with the Gavita "enhanced" HPS bulb. Thought it was too good to pass up. They seem to get really good reviews. Guess time will tell.:weed:

Well, made the mistake of stopping by the organics store today. Got a Gavita 600e SE for $200. It was a return, had a bad bulb and the guy thought the ballast was bad. Anyone have any experience with it or heard anything about their quality? People at the store raved about them for the price.

Just for giggles........ What would be the energy consumption difference between the 600 HPS and the 860CDM? My wife is a penny pincher and I know if I can keep the electric bill from blowing up she will be happy.
