I run 16 Vero 29s per 4x4 area. One per square foot. Killing it!

DIY LED lamp - Vero 29's 3000K alone or added CW or BLUE

I run 16 Vero 29's in parallel on two Hlg-240-42 Meanwell drivers. A total of four 4 ft heatsinks, 4 cobs per heatsink, spaced one foot apart. This gives me one cob per square foot. My cobs are 3500k. Kills it for veg and bloom! I went with the "b" version drivers so i can tone it down a...

Sensi Seeds Maple Leaf Indica ?

I just ordered a 10 pack myself. Doesn't seem to be alot of info out there on it. Even the genetics seem to be a mystery (very vague at the least). But good reviews everywhere on the smoke.

E Shine LED Grow Lights, any opinions?

I happen to have some Meanwell Cen-100-24 laying around. Anyone know if these would run some Veros?

E Shine LED Grow Lights, any opinions?

Yeah, i just looked that up. Very similiar name. I did notice on the Advanced led site that they dont say their products are made in the Usa, it does say the 5 watt diodes are made in the USA, but doesn't actually say where the units are assembled. So i can only assume its China. Lol. Only...

E Shine LED Grow Lights, any opinions?

Advanced brings them in from China, then pretends they are different in order to get full retail for them. (No one wants to pay retail for a chinese light). Youtube Platinum vs eshine. They order one of each, open them up and show you they are exactly identical. They go by Platinum led...

E Shine LED Grow Lights, any opinions?

I realize this is an old thread....but... Advanced and Eshine are the same company. Advanced is rebranded and sold for twice the price. They pretend to be different (wouldn't you?) and will even dog eshine. But there are several videos out there on YouTube showing the 2 side by side...

    Diy cob led help please!

Yes. You can do that, although 4 dimmers over a larger area would give you a lot of control of the environment. (More light where needed, less where not needed)

    First DIY led cob build

You are right. The site I got the 215v figure from is obviously wrong. Meanwell's data sheet shows they will run 286v. My bad. Which means at 35.75v you can run 8 (35.75v X 8 =286 x .7amps = 200.2 watts) And that will be very good use of the driver, you'd be using every available amp/volt...

    Diy cob led help please!

There's two extra wires, white and blue, coming out of the driver (on "b" versions). The potentiometer will have 3 wire connection spots. If you manage to wire it up wrong it will just work backwards (turn the knob up and the lights would dim. If this happens, you just reverse the wires, no...

    Diy cob led help please!

Meanwell Hlg-185h-c1400 would run them at 1.4 amps and be pretty efficient. You wouldn't quite be using the full potential of the driver, but pretty close. You'd be getting a little over 50 watts per cob. Get a "b" version (dimmable) if it's available and add a 100kohm potentiometer (very...

    First DIY led cob build

Lumengeek, I think that driver will run 5-6 of those cxa's if I'm not mistaken. (215 volts maximum, divided by 36 volts per cob). Should give you around 25 watts per cob. (36 volts X .7 amps per cob wired in series). Please chime in someone if this is incorrect. 16 of them should...

    First DIY led cob build

So I decided to build my own led light. This plan was born out of frustration with dealing with lying led manufacturers and retailers. Looking at this shut and saying "damn, I could build this better myself". And of course, to give credit where credit is due.... watching realstyles...

    Diy cob led help please!

I just built my first diy led light tonight using the Vero 29 cobs (same exact ones you mentioned). I'm running 4 of them off of a Meanwell Hlg-240-42b. They are very bright! Should be about 60 watts per cob. I have them wired in parallel on a 4 foot long heatsink. Will be building several...
